I'd be happy to get: another CB (if the prognosis on Jaire isn't good, though I hear he's out of the sling now), Hurst, Geseicki, Fatukasi, Coradarelle Patterson (as RB3 and return-specialist).

I'm still on the Evan Engram bandwagon. I get the concerns with him. But he's young, he's cheap, and he still has a ton of upside. I don't think he'll cost a lot to anyone if traded. If it doesn't work out, so be it. But he's the kind of guy you take a shot on.

Would love, love, love David Njoku, instead, but don't think Cleveland will move him. Jordan Akins is another kind of interesting name. If Arizona were willing to play nice, Andy Isabella is a guy I would love for the jet motion/Amari role and would add an insurance policy to MVS' speed, despite his much smaller stature.

His blocking is worse than Tonyan's. Don't think he's an ideal fit for what we want.

I agree, he's wouldn't be a direct Tonyan replacement. We'd have to change it up a bit. Still if he works out, he could give us a J-Mike like receiving threat (drops and all). Yes, he's not the size of J-Mike, but has similar or better athletic ability.

There was a physical freak that I was very high on when he was drafted, a TE for the panthers named Ian Thomas. For some reason the guy cant even hardly find the field very often. I would call the Panthers and try to give them a 7 for him, just because I havent given up on him and think Rodgers could redeem his career.

I doubt the Browns move anyone of note. Isabella I've liked for a while, so I'd be good with that. I think a guy like Akins is the most likely acquisition out of any name I've heard. Would be more of a direct Tonyan replacement.

I remember being a fan of his around draft time as well, but haven't really followed what his career has been. Could be an interesting option.

MMQB just had a pretty cool 3-5 minute segment on Jerry Gray with Scott Piolo on. Talking about the blasphemy that the broadcast last Thursday basically never really talked about him at all all game. Gave him some props and were plugging him to get him some DC/HC vibes going into the offseason.

So I checked out the minority development compensation the NFL gives out. Really thought it was more, but only get a 3rd round pick if you lose a minority coach to a HC or GM role, nothing for DC.

So if this gains any more steam and he starts getting any HC hype, now we'll all know the results. :aok:

I'd be happy for him, but selfishly given his track record, I think I'd rather keep him around over getting pick like 105.

That's cool, I'll have to check it out. And I agree, would rather keep him around. But tis the price of success, losing good coaches and players.

Fletcher Cox's name showing up with the Packers on the Twitterverse.

Only 1.075 million salary this year (600K he'd count against the cap).

Eagles threw on some voidable years, 26.6 million cap hit in 2022 for the eagles and 16.1 million salary. Meaning he will be released this offseason by the Eagles or the team trading for him (short of restructing/extension).

Thus the Eagles wouldn't get a comp pick for him, so if they want anything for him, can make some sense to trade him now.

6'4" 310, 30 years old, 63.7 PFF grade on the season.

I wouldn't be mad.

Honestly, that would be a more impactful addition than Von Miller to the Rams. We'd win the trade deadline... not to mention he really would vastly improve absolutely EVERYTHING about our defense.

This is the only move I think I'd get really excited about.

Most other things I think would be a big challenge to get any value out of the move.

But Cox can replace Lancaster at the least. Spell Clark. Help Clark and be a role model for TJ Slayton.

Dean Lowry has been fantastic the last 3 to 4 weeks so our Dline has definitely shown they belong in the NFL, but this type of move would be so big vs run teams like MN, CHI, DAL, etc.

He's the cover 2 buster you dream of having if he can just catch the ball.
Exactly. We need a taller faster game breaking te. Opposite of Tonyan. It would totally change how defenses view us. Tonyan strikes fear in no one. He is a product of Aaron.

For TE, would it do any good to dream of a TE if he has issues catching the ball? Aaron would hardly throw it to the guy if he has boards for hands.

And if the TE doesn’t block, MLF would nix that quickly.

Cox could be great, for the reasons that you guys cited.

Yes. Get Engram and Cooks, and teams will start looking at us as a team that no longer does outside runs well, and one that sucks at screens. ;)
