From Lambeau to Lombardi, Holmgren, McCarthy and LaFleur and from Starr to Favre, Rodgers and now Jordan Love we’re talking Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers football. This Packers Forum is the place to talk NFL football and everything Packers. So, pull up a keyboard, make yourself at home and let’s talk some Packers football.
I agree, he's wouldn't be a direct Tonyan replacement. We'd have to change it up a bit. Still if he works out, he could give us a J-Mike like receiving threat (drops and all). Yes, he's not the size of J-Mike, but has similar or better athletic ability.
He's the cover 2 buster you dream of having if he can just catch the ball.
Exactly. We need a taller faster game breaking te. Opposite of Tonyan. It would totally change how defenses view us. Tonyan strikes fear in no one. He is a product of Aaron.
Okay I didn't mean this to be a knock on Tonyan or looking at a Tonyan upgrade at all.
You don't get those in November.
Honestly I just don't see the cost being worth it for any offensive addition.

Just let Lazard play the Tonyan role, no LB can cover him up the seam, andwill keep a DB on the field more often than not, which makes his blocking contributions easier/better as well.

This is my thought as well. If people want that "Finley in the slot role" just put Lazard there.
Lazard also has been lined up on the LOS....just a step back and with no hands in the dirt. I am very much okay with keeping what we have.
And as I say that, seeing Darius Slayton's name out there as available (no link to Packers), but I would really like him for a longer term play. Might give some nice contributions this year. But then next year, MVS, Adams unsigned, Cobb not likely to be back, nice little protection there bringing in a veteran guy with some nice talent who would be fully immersed in the system by next TC.
Get him for this year and next on a 5th round pennies contract. Come 2023 we might actually have some cap room to offer an extension then as well. Really burried on that depth chart there in NY.
Was incredibly impressed by him in the 2019 game against the Packers. I think he could fit in really well here, big speed guy who I think runs some real nice go routes, stretching out that D.
I still remember this video when scouting him. Giants fan talk highly of his downfield blocking.
I guess MLF was playing QB3 in practice yesterday. Hopefully Kurt hasn't been around Aaron or Jordan since last Thursday.
Trying to piece this together from what happened last week, but if they are fully vaccinated it shouldn't matter, right? There is no fully vaccinated close contact issues, right?

Correct, vaccinated - no close contact issues. But doesn't mean they can't test positive themselves. If Benkert actually has it, then he can give it to them. So move him to the other side of the country.

Right. Just wanted to make sure I had that correct.

I think there was a comparison at one point and time where Lazard and Tonyan were like the same person. Age, talent, size, measurables, one was made a TE, the other a WR.
