Pipe dream, but if we are going to do something crazy and trade for a WR with a decent salary yet (like OBJ), go and get Allen Robinson.
Couldn't see it happening, but that guy is so underrated and he really needs a real QB.
Totally feel like that is a trade a team like Baltimore will make.
We definitely aren't signing any FA's next year, so do gotta keep in mind any trade acquisition who is unsigned after the year, we can think about getting a 2023 comp pick back. Might end up only being something like improving a 6th to a 5th by replacing 4th best loss or whatever.

The Vic Fangio experiment may soon be ending as it seems the Broncos are punting on the season. I hate that for him as he seems like an old school bada** guy.
Only trading for a HOF QB can save them now.

Bills fans seem to think they are bringing Khalil Mack back home. That would be a big move. But I haven't seen any legitimate rumors that Mack is on the block.

Seriously though, you all forgot the Bucs were actually good from 1979-1981...and then went back to sucking when they pissed off Doug Williams.

So he killed somebody....
His NFL career is over if he truly was impaired.
Prayers to the family and loved ones of the person he killed.
Yeah, I'm in for a 3rd, but we may have to do better than that (our 3rd is a 4th since we always pick so late, a bad team will get priority over us -- also, intra-conference disadvantage).

3rd is definitely a lot to get someone for probably 8 regular season games and playoffs, with absolutely zero chance he is on our roster next year and no comp pick eligibility. I kind of had more of a 4th in mind. Should be getting a 4th round comp pick for Linsley.
He'd move us to like 60 million over the cap next year on paper.

Regardless of how you feel about the statement I'm about to make, it is true:
there is actually decent precedent that killing someone while driving drunk does not end your football career. So I guess we'll see.

I'm not saying I would never do a 3 for Cox; he is exactly what we need on the DL.
But those downsides make him not the ideal trade acquisition.

Hey I'm in all in mode today. This guy pegs the needle. Screw next year. exactly. its not a move you make if you are worried about being the long term winner of a trade, or worried about the future. Its a deal you make if you think the player being acquired can increase your chances of winning the super bowl this year. I think he increases those odds quite a bit.Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑02 Nov 2021 13:37Hey I'm in all in mode today. This guy pegs the needle. Screw next year. A third is steep, yes. But consider the widely accepted assumption we'll be trading Rodgers next off-season for what should likely be more than enough to offset the third they would lose in acquiring Cox. I was against a 3rd at first, but to be all in these are the moves you make! Let's get this done and worry about it later
