DeSean Jackson signs with the Raiders.

I'm curious if that takes them out of the OBJ sweepstakes. I'd guess Jackson would've asked the same question considering he left the Rams in favor of a team that'll provide him more playing time and targets. If the Raiders turn right around and pursue OBJ, I'd think Jackson might be just a wee bit pissy over it.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Panthers QB Sam Darnold is expected to miss "several weeks" with a fractured scapula.

Darnold was previously considered day-to-day, but he'll now be out longer after testing revealed he has a fractured scapula. Backup quarterback P.J. Walker will fill in for the foreseeable future with Darnold on the mend. The USC product hasn't exactly played well lately, so there's a chance Walker could take the job outright if he plays well over the next few weeks.

Sounds like Dalvin Cook may have more than healthy knee issues to worry about.

Dalvin Cook has been accused of physical and emotional abuse in a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend.

The suit alleges assault, battery, and false imprisonment, and that Cook's alleged abuse caused a concussion. The woman, 29-year-old Gracelyn Trimble, also accuses Cook of holding her hostage with a firearm. Trimble is seeking unspecified monetary damages. The news comes hours after ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Cook himself was the victim of domestic abuse and extortion from Trimble. It would appear Cook's camp was trying to get ahead of these troubling allegations. That is not to presume anything. This has the looks of an ugly legal saga, one that is going to leave Cook's standing with the Vikings in question. Stay tuned.
