Is Bahk back for the next game? Moving Runyan to RG seems to me to be appropriate.Yoop wrote: ↑10 Nov 2021 06:15I would have voted for the OL in heres Johnny if Newman and Patrick hadn't done so poorly, Jenkins is going to want LT type money whether he plays there or not.BF004 wrote: ↑09 Nov 2021 20:212 OL graded higher than any defender, wut. 3 of the top 5 grades.APB wrote: ↑09 Nov 2021 19:47
Top rated offensive player. Matter of fact, PFF rated three O-Lineman within the top 5 on offense.
https://packerswire.usatoday.com/lists ... at-chiefs/
Offense:
1. LT Elgton Jenkins, 84.9
2. LG Jon Runyan, 80.0
3. TE Marcedes Lewis, 76.0
4. RT Billy Turner, 74.9
5. RB A.J. Dillon, 69.2
Defense:
1. CB Kevin King, 79.2
2. S Darnell Savage, 77.1
3. S Adrian Amos, 70.8
4. OLB Rashan Gary, 68.0
5. OLB Jonathan Garvin, 67.3
I know @lupedafiasco will be excited…
To each their own man.

Hasn't been announced yet. They have to make the decision to take him off the PUP today or he's done for the year. That will happen, but MLF was non-committal (but hopeful) that he'll play Sunday.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑10 Nov 2021 09:52Is Bahk back for the next game? Moving Runyan to RG seems to me to be appropriate.

I think so to, Newman had one good game and has struggled in the others, imo Runyan looks quicker and uses better leverage with both pass pro and run blocking, I'd like to see him get a start at RG just to see how he does.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑10 Nov 2021 09:52Is Bahk back for the next game? I wouldn't mind giving Clark a bit of a holiday and having Slaton and Heflin get some trial-by-fire -- allow Clark's back to recover so it does not flare up at a real bad time (i.e. post-season) and give our young guys an opportunity to gain experience.

We can probably safely put them on the back burner until December, as expected.

Thoughts on the Oline now that Bahk is back.
It is not certain that he will play this week, but assuming he does:
#1 Do the Packers move Jenkins to LG and Runyan to RG?
#2 Or do they move Jenkins to Center and Patrick to RG?
The problem with #2 is that when Meyers returns they have to reshuffle the Oline again.
I'd prefer #1. I thought Jenkins could be our center of the future before we even drafted him. But that's Myers now. Keep him at LG. Runyan is playing better than Newman and I think can make the switch to RG fairly easily as he played it last year some.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑11 Nov 2021 13:50

Jenkins to LG, Runyan to RG. Myers comes back for Patrick. Get more time at RG for Runyan.

Knowing Jenkins will be just fine wherever you put him, I would keep Runyan at LG, I think that's his best OL spot anyway. I think Jenkins goes to RG then but Andy Herman suggested you play him at C and make RG open competition between Newman and Patrick (whose best spot is probably there).

JRJ, Patrick and Jenkins all probably more comfortable at LG right now, but you gotta think Newman is playing his way out is the preferred starting lineup at the moment.
Once Myers is back, I’d think it’ll be JRJ or Patrick at RG (assuming Bak is back). Maaaayybe outside shot you don’t wanna move JRJ around and put Jenkins at RG.
If the case, wouldn’t hurt to start givining Newman some RT reps in practice too, could be a long term option there in ‘23, maybe even ‘22 if Turner becomes a cap casualty.

We all had some similar thoughts there. LolLabrev wrote: ↑11 Nov 2021 15:05Knowing Jenkins will be just fine wherever you put him, I would keep Runyan at LG, I think that's his best OL spot anyway. I was thinking longer term when Myers is back. But I’d prolly move Newman to the bench before Patrick right now. I thinks he’s a better center than guard and Elgton is awesome everywhere. So to me, I put Jenkins and JRJ in at guard, not sure who where, that’ll be up to the coaches. Although that decision could be dependent on what they wanna do when Myers is back.
Funny. 4 options at RG and none of them would shock me in and two weeks.
I'm gonna guess #1.TheSkeptic wrote: ↑11 Nov 2021 13:50

I have NEVER seen the Packers beat writers collectively roast someone, until today. It's glorious.
