Crazylegs Starks said they would get one for their dad as a Christmas present but it's outside his budget. Yeah, I said I would buy one if I had the cash to spare, but the dad should definitely get priority over me.

**edit** no wait I think he ended up buying.

That's because the Packers think they are special. For the same reason, they never played AFL teams before the merger in 1970. All the other teams participated. Packers were "special".
I don't think the Packers could decline if the league scheduled them for an overseas game. Not the team's fault the league hasn't done that. The international series started in 2007, and the Packers have been a fantastic at filling stadiums in away games in the US during that period. I'm sure if we hit a period of tough times, and that draw is lost, overseas games would follow.
So why are the Packers the only team that hasn't played overseas? Oh yeah, they are special. Even New England has been 3 times.
Because teams don't give up their home games vs the Packers. The Packers on the road is a guaranteed sell out and the home team is not willing to put that in London. It's simple economics. it's better to have a crappier team play the London home team where attendance will be in the 80,000's anyways.

Home teams like St. Louis, early LA, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, San Diego/LAC, Miami, Cincy, Atlanta don't sell out games easily. There is no way in hell they are giving up a Packers game to take it over seas.

How does this relate to the Packers stock sale? Scratching my head trying to figure out the tie to the St Louis Rams.

Just heard on mad dog sports radio where they were hating on the stock that the org sold 110k shares in 48 hours.

Also same mad dog station had a commercial for buying stock telling people to go to packersstock dot com. That’s the first official marketing I’ve seen.

No, read it on JS online

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers have sold $36.7 million in shares in the first day and a-half of the team's sixth stock sale.

Packers fans scooped up 110,000 shares of the NFL's only publicly-owned team between Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening. About 100,000 purchases were made.

Yes, I did end up getting my Dad one. (Shh, don't tell him!) I guess I should've been more clear: It's the Xmas budget that I wrecked, but I have other funds I can siphon off. :aok:

That's what Murphy said about Rodgers. And no we're not talking about the Murphy that had 20 interceptions playing DB for the Packers wearing #37. And no we're not talking about Richard or Amari. Many headscratchers to deal with here.
