Packers Next Stadium
The next one should be a retractable roof.

Actually this was a big point of discussion in planning the big renovation that completed 2003.
I would be legitimately sad. I enjoy mocking the vikings and their fake horn and fake stadium noise and softness that requires them to stay out of the cold. I see a trip to Lambeau as a pilgrimage to Mecca, only perfected by withstanding the elements. The comforts of a dome or roof would not feel like the Green Bay Packers to me!

Sounds like somebody hasn’t let their ass callouses build up enough to withstand those cold Lambeau bench seats yet…
…not that you should be doing much sitting anyway.
How very dare you. If you want to be warm watching sport, go to the ice hockey just down the road.
Lambeau Field roof should be retracted from the thoughts of every Packer fan...
I remember the talk, mostly a product of the 80's when the team had been on a losing streak for 15 years, Lambeau had a bunch of no shows back then, there was even talk of moving the team to Milwaukee, but thats all it amounted to was TALK, some thought a roof would keep fans in the stands and the team in GB, Harlan proved that Winning would accomplish the same thing

Have we not had enough drama and crap to fight about this season already? I don't have the headspace for this lunacy, even in the off-season!

But you see there may not be a way out of this ... the Packers lunatic fringe is more visible due to sheer numbers. Just ask Bogey.

It's the freezing rain that no one likes.
Temperature would never be an issue.
No need to heat or air condition the place other than places where you are are worried about pipes freezing.
I'm not under the impression that Lambeau will always stay the way it is. I expect some day it gets torn down, or gets a roof, or something. But I'll worry about it when that day comes. Which is a long way away yet. And I still don't have to like it.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 09:51But you see there may not be a way out of this ... the Packers lunatic fringe is more visible due to sheer numbers. Just seemed like a weird time to bring it up Ringo!

It wont happen in your lifetime Paco, most fans like Lambeau just the way it is, and the elements give us a huge advantage, the roof is cheap, so it's not a matter of money, but it would degrade our stadium to just another bowl with a umbrella, eye sores like that liter half the teams in the league and look like hell.paco wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:18I'm not under the impression that Lambeau will always stay the way it is. I agree Yoop and I hope it doesn't. Not that I should care all that much since I never go to games! One day, one season, I'll fix that.Yoop wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:46It wont happen in your lifetime Paco, most fans like Lambeau just the way it is, and the elements give us a huge advantage, the roof is cheap, so it's not a matter of money, but it would degrade our stadium to just another bowl with a umbrella, eye sores like that liter half the teams in the league and look like hell.paco wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:18I'm not under the impression that Lambeau will always stay the way it is.
