Let's hope we don't see anything like this next week. I feel we are starting to see more of this soft tissue stuff because of over use, due to late bye.

I don't think that was a thing with Jenkins though, he sat out 3 games prior with a ankle, this was basically a no contact injury, feel bad for Jenkins, he was having another PB season.

Might want to understand what an over-use injury is before trying to argue if one is or is not...

Lets hope he's a quick healer. But this puts the first part of next season in jeopardy for him. The good news is that Nijman has done a pretty good job. Hopefully Bakhtiari's setback isn't too bad and is available for the Bears or at least the Ravens.
RIP JustJeff
quit making idiotic excuses, Jenkins has not been over used, simply state that you wished the bye came sooner, the injury's have been piling up all season.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:14Might want to understand what an over-use injury is before trying to argue if one is or is not...
The Packers have its 2 best All Pro Olinemen out with ACL since 12/31. The Packers also only have 1 starter available at their natural starting position.
Do y'll know of another player who has been equally great at C, LG and LT? I don't.
Elg is an absolute boss.
It's a testament to our OL staff and Gutey that we can go into a game without our top 2 LTs, both at least Pro Bowl quality ones, and still have a guy who can hang in there in Nijman. Most teams would be screwed if even one starting OT goes down.

to bad our Nijman helper is gone to, Tonyan was a great supporting Nijman on the edge.salmar80 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:18Do y'll know of another player who has been equally great at C, LG and LT? I don't.

I didn't say JENKINS has been over-used. I said we are starting to see more soft tissue injuries possibly because of over-use injuries due to our late bye. Again, you might want to understand what an over-use injury is before starting an argument: https://www.nm.org/healthbeat/healthy-t ... e-injuriesYoop wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:17quit making idiotic excuses, Jenkins has not been over used, simply state that you wished the bye came sooner, the injury's have been piling up all season.
An overuse injury is damage to bones, muscles, ligaments or tendons as a result of repetitive stress.

WTF, the only one arguing A H is you, why don't you take your own advice and read what I wrote.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:25I didn't say JENKINS has been over-used. "I don't think that was a thing with Jenkins though", THOUGH was added so you wouldn't be offended, quit looking for a fight.
like I said, simply complain about the late bye, and again, the injury's have been accumulating for 2 months

What you said is evident, but saying it showed you did not understand what an over-use injury is. ACL is a common over-use injury. We also have had other injuries recently that may be due to lack of rest, Jones, Tonyan, etc...
Incidentally, I didn't even mention Jenkins in my O.P.

yoop, you're exhausting sometimes. Christ...
Anywho, this really sucks. This season, other than our 8-3 record, kind of sucks with all the injuries and then the Covid controversy. Hope we can still make a great run at the end but I'm starting to wonder if that's possible with all the injuries.

again here you go making excuses for these athletes, they don't practice much now, so they are more rested now then then in years past, these are not over use injury's, and I pointed out to you that Jenkins basically has only played 8 games.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 10:41What you said is evident, but saying it showed you did not understand what an over-use injury is. I hate the way the injury's are piling up just like you.
right off the bat you told me I had no idea what a over use injury is, the remark is beyond foolish.
hey acrobat, KMA.

No excuses being made. Why would I need to make an excuse for a player getting injured? That comment is nonsensical. That athletes practiced more in the past does not negate that these current injuries could be due to over-use. This again shows that you don't understand what over-use injuries are. In my OP, I was speaking to the team as a whole, not just Jenkins. Yet, that doesn't mean Jenkins injury was not over-use. That he has played 8 games doesn't mean it wasn't over-use. Yet another example of not understanding over-use.
You didn't know what an over-use injury is. Hopefully now you do and we can move on.

you would have NO CLUE if any player injury was related to fatigue or over use, your comment didn't make sense when you made it and even less now, lis, simply complain because the bye is so late and let it go at that, that actually made sense, this is you ramming a square peg into a round hole.Pckfn23 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021 11:07No excuses being made. So 3 of our top 4 OL are out right now, assuming we all agree that Billy Turner is in that top 4, and that Meyers is ahead of our young guards.

Unlike the team last season this team will have legit (injury) excuse if it sucks in the Playoffs.
2 ACL tears, both in domes on fake turf.
Coincidence?
