never happen, when ya look at that list, your either best in the league for close to a decade, key players in a dynasty, or face of the franchise for that long too.

lots of almost good enough players on the HOF list, anyway that seems like the criteria, and Rodgers easily qualify's.

Why? He was paid well. If he has invested well, he is on his way to being a billionaire. Why do we need to give him more? Why is he more deserving than for example CMIII or Woodson or a dozen others on that SB team.

Based on this information and the Wiki criteria, the following Packers should (or will) have their numbers retired in addition to Canadeo 3, Favre 4, Hutson 14, Starr 15, Nitschke 66, White 92: Jimmy Taylor 31, Paul Hornung 5, Forrest Gregg 75, Aaron Rodgers 12, Willie Wood 24, maybe even Leroy Butler 36. I do not understand why Canadeo has his number retired, and not Taylor and Hornung......makes little or no sense (never did and never will).

The Packers should have retired Taylor, Hornung, Gregg and Wood a long time ago. They should do all four in one announcement.

And then how are they going to come up with 90 jersey numbers for the pre-season? Can we go to hexadecimal? i.e. 0123456789abcdef? that takes the number of possible jersey numbers to 256 instead of 100. A0 is 100, A1 is 101, A2 is 102, ... FE is 254, FF is 255
