Rodgers had a terrific game but it was SNF and it was against the Bears...nothing unexpected.

It's Douglas or Preston for me.

Post-game reports saying Preston was pretty vocal at halftime, getting on the defense over their collective poor level of play. Taking on the leadership role and willing the defense to play up to their abilities. The Bears scored 3 pts after the break.

His play and his putting a foot up the defense's arse are enough for me.

It's Preston by a nose.
Just because it was not unexpected when he plays like that you gotta give him his due. I doubt we win that one without him.
Oh I don’t doubt that! He’s certainly the game MVP within the context you’re implying.

For this forum contest, tho, he doesn’t fit the underdog criteria nor did he have a performance noticeably greater than what should be expected of him. He’s his own worst enemy when it comes to this little competition, you could say.
OIC. I thought we were picking the player who we think will perform the best in each game. :idn:

Voting Rasul

He was really really good all day even outside the pick 6. A pick 6 and 0 catches allowed for a guy on the PS 2 months ago should not be 'expectations'.

I have to go with Rasul also. Last minute acquisition who ties a record set in '65 has to get my vote. Especially since the rest of his game was very solid. Only one negative play that I can remember and that was the missed tackle on Grant. He even made a veteran play on STs that saved Amari's butt.

Man, I'm feeling swayed by the Douglas argument.

For the moment, tho, I'm sticking with Preston. Those leadership traits he brought forth to motivate the troops during halftime have weight. That, coupled with his superior play and backed by his high PFF grade still swing it to him for me.

For now.

Rasul, absolutely.
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff
