My fav is probably one of the week 1 plays, maybe Amos' interception or some Smith Bros sacks. I want to say Amos had a nice open-field tackle that game too. But anyway, heading into that game, I was the least confident in knowing how good we'd be that I have been in a very long time. Usually I can sort of tell going into the year, but the whole offseason I was sort of expecting a pretty low floor and high ceiling, and watching us come out that game made me realize we'd probably be nearer to the ceiling after having somewhat dreaded week 1 for 8 months.

My favorite play was the goal line stand tackle to secure the win in the snow against Carolina. Of course, being at that game made it all the more epic. But the surprise snow, how tight the game got, and shutting them down on the goal line to win the game as time expired was awesome!!! I will never forget partying with all the packers fans in my section in the snow after that!

Fakrell with the stuff, and preston with the clean up!

I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur

We got a lot of quality snaps out of Fackrell. Lot of bad ones too, but it wasn't all bad.

Time for Gary to step up to the plate and take it to the next level!

Awesome!

Fennel is retweeting all Rodgers' great throws of 2019.
Awesome throw. Clearly not 2019.

That ball is to I believe Jermichael Finley. I remember that throw still. Aaron was so freaking accurate 2009 - 2014.

I think this was like 2009 or 2010?

I agree. Clifton and Tauscher are the book ends, so that goes WAY back. They played Detroit, at home, in October in both '09 and '10, so tough to tell which year, exactly.

EDIT:

Box score shows its 2010. Finley didn't catch a TD in the 2009 game.

Rodgers to Lazard was a good one as well!
Woof, I hate this play.

It worked out, but it is identical to many of Rodgers' worst moments; tossed effortlessly down the sideline off of his back foot to a WR with no separation. The throw was perfect, but if it's not perfect, it's 50/50 at best and a pass defensed more likely.

So far... I'll go with the Cowboys Tonyan throw and the the Chiefs Jones screen; the latter was just beautiful execution. I'll think on it, though.

Just watched some Za'Darius highlights, whew, some gold in there.

I think my favorites are when the team sorta converges.

There was a clutch sack where the Smiths met at Dak Prescott to knock the Cowboys out of FG range early in that one.

A beautiful glimpse at the future when the Smiths and Gary all converged around Matt Moore against the Chiefs; Kenny Clark got probably 8 yards of penetration on that one, but the other three won the race to the QB.

A shocking play where Savage, Z, and Goodson (with a Clark assist) crushed Coleman on 3rd and 1 in the 49ers' playoff game that was a true thing of beauty, but hard to get revved up about it knowing how the rest of that game went.

And then, good. god. the 2nd Vikings game. Z was a beast. Crushed RBs for losses, had multiple sacks, pressured others. That whole game (like the "whole Aaron Jones Cowboys game" nomination early in the thread... just gorgeous.

No joke. Zadarius Smith was the single greatest defensive performance I have ever seen by a Packer in my life. Now keep in mind I was too young for Reggie White.

But I personally have never seen a defensive player single handily will his team to victory when the offense screwed the pooch so many times in that game.

Think about the first half. 3 offensive turnovers. One where they gave MN the ball inside the 10. A dime by Cousins to Diggs that couldn't have been thrown better and three trips inside the 30 yardline and only 9 points out of it.

In that tough environment, that is a receipe for disaster every time and yet drive after drive Z kept us in that game. It was absolutely stunning. And just as stunning as any performance I have seen 12 make over the last decade.

I think the first quarter and first few minutes of the 2nd quarter of week 2 against MN might be the best Packers football all year.

First off, it really looked like MLF's vision with 12 personnel, 2 HB sets, bunches formations, TEs split out wide, fake jet screens to set up up the middle WR screens and beyond that, Rodgers was absolutely flawless. He was accurate and he found his guys. They just knew where to go all the time.

As for defense, they force a fumble on Cousins and MN recovers and the very next play, Clark, Goodson, Lowry, Z Smith all converge on Cousins immediately and force a fumble to put GB in scoring territory to go up 21 to 0.
