Oooo at Washington; I can maybe go to local Packers games 2 years in a row (and 3 out of 4 years)

I'm geographically closest to Washington but I'd reeeeaaaaally, REEEEAAAALLY like to go see that Buffalo game live. It's doable. Sorta.

With the Titans at Lambeau and us at Buffalo, I sure hope they make it fun by scheduling those late in the year when the weather is what we'd want it to be for Derrick Henry vs AJ Dillon round 2 and for all the images Buffalo v. Green Bay engenders in our imaginations

I just looked up plane ticket pricing, Richmond to Buffalo, for next November/December if that's any indication of my hopes and expectations for scheduling... :aok:

So the road teams I haven't been to are Philly, Buffalo, Miami and Tampa.

Hopefully I can start this tradition of going to these games again.

I was eyeing Philly if I want to see a more entertaining game than Washington, haha

Totally depends when we go to Miami and TB. If late in the year, we're going 17-0. If early, 15-2 (or 16-1 if split).

We're not winning in FL in September. Doesn't happen.

I’ve heard too many horror stories about opposing fans in Philly to deter my desire to attend a game there. And if it’s snowed there recently? Forget it.

I definitely need to do it at some point.

But I am petrified to do it.

Schedule looks weaker “on paper” than the 2021 schedule did.

Yeah. I mean we drew the two toughest divisions in the NFC West and AFC North in 2021.

We had the toughest schedule in the league. Actually MN did because they had to play us twice.

If I'm reading Tankathon correctly, we actually have one of the easiest schedules this year. Our strength of schedule is listed as .469

Is that .469 SoS rating for this year? Or the SoS of next years opponents?

Yeah Strength of Schedule in my opinion is a terrible way to judge how hard a schedule is because SoS always skews "harder" for crappy teams and "easier" for good teams. The only outlier is it apparently looks like KC had a REALLY hard schedule. The entire AFC West has a brual SoS. Likely because the division doesn't have a terrible team and because they played the AFC North (again best division top to bottom) and NFC East (decent).

The Packers though I believe played the best NFC division and 2nd best AFC division. NFC West is the most competitive top to bottom division in the NFC (anywhere from 2 -3 Playoff teams) and AFC North.

Of the 6 NFC Playoff team potentials, GB played 4 of them. GB also played 4 AFC potential playoff teams (still alive going into week 18). Finally, GB also eliminated many teams from playoff contention which is a challenge in its own end.

But SoS is bad because it skews bad teams having harder schedules since they have to play the hard team and can't play themselves. Like MN and GB have the EXACT same schedule (even home and road) for the exception that the Packers played at the Chiefs, at NO's and Washington whereas MN had to play at LAC, at Tampa and Dallas (against the backup QB). And yet MN's SoS is 513 and GB is 469 mainly because the Packers drew the Vikings twice but the Vikings drew the Packers twice.

For reference, this was our SoS based off of 2020 standings: https://eatdrinkandsleepfootball.com/sc ... -2021.html 4th hardest.

It's for this year. It's a tie breaker when deciding draft position for teams with equal records. The teams with tougher SoS pick behind those with easier ones.

Would someone please wake me up when the Green and Gold package games are firmly delineated, etched, solidified and/or confirmed as real news. Usually sometime in April. :bkw:
