My new awards picks, what I think will happen...
MVP - Aaron Rodgers (previous Brady)
OPOY - Cooper Kupp (Taylor)
DPOY - TJ Watt (Garrett)
OROY - Ja'Marr Chase (Mac Jones)
DROY - Micah Parsons (Parsons)
Comeback - Joe Burrow (Dak)
Coach - Mike Vrabel (Belichick)

Funny how a month changes things. Coach is my hardest to pick. Close race between Vrabel, MLF, and Zac Taylor. But Vrabel is the betting favorite now.

Close race between Taylor and Kupp, but I think Kupp gets it now.
Watt overtakes DPOY only because of the sacks. But Donald should get it and will get votes.
Chase overtakes Mac Jones with a huge late season surge.
Burrow gets the edge over Dak for comeback. Not sure why I feel this way, but I do. Dak is betting favorite.

I dunno, probably because Burrow was a much better football player this year?

Packers, Colts, Ravens, Cowboys, and Rams each had 3 first-team all-pros.

Trent Williams got his first first-team all pro with Bakhtiari out for the season

Can't wait to look at second team and honorable mentions.

Looks like the only other Packer that got votes was Kenny Clark.

And DeVondre didn't make the pro-bowl, lol.

They do need to change that 3-4 OLB as an OLB distinction already for pro bowl. And by already I mean 25 years ago.

Clark will likely be 2nd team.

I'd like to see Gary get HM if he can. Rasul might show up. No idea where to rank Bojo, but you never know

Can't really think of anyone else. Preston and Amos I could see on HM mostly by name and team success. Too many injuries elsewhere on the O for anyone.

Thurston was All Pro 5 times. Gillingham was All Pro 6 times.

Good thing we had three more sit out the season and are waiting to return and under contract next year!

Good thing 2021 season All-Pro Safety Micah Hyde is no longer in Green Bay ........... still irks me that Micah Hyde was let go. :bkw:
Darren Sharper and Leroy Butler were the last Packers All-Pro Safeties.
Nick Collins was a 3-time Pro Bowler ....... but didn't make All-Pro.

Bobby Dillon, Willie Wood, Leroy Butler, Johnnie Gray, Charles Woodson, Mark Murphy and Nick Collins are in the Packers Hall of Fame as Safeties.

More like 2 1/2 with Z's contract, but factually, you are correct.

Does Amos or him cost more? Though, in GB Hyde was good but often injured and not all pro level. Sometimes different scenery or scheme makes a big difference.

Hyde didn't play like a all pro with us, neither did Hayward, thats why Ted did't extend them, players leave the team that drafted them and do better elsewhere all the team, that should be clear after watching Rasul and Campbell play for us this year, people that continue to bring stuff like this up Ringo refuse to believe in history, and since your a Packer history buff I sure wouldn't expect to hear this stuff from you. :idn:

Yep, they got better coaching elsewhere.

Woody was so happy to play for Dom Capers he went out and won DPOY honors, and Z Smith had more pressures then he ever had playing for Pettine, basically the same type scheme Capers used, sure coaching matters, players improve with a better scheme fit, but often players simply rededicate themselves.

If my memory serves me correctly (yes, "IF"), I thought Micah Hyde played really well for the Packers.

Agree that Casey Hayward was releasable.

Oh, and TT wasn't all that "swift" sometimes either. It is what it is.......... Meh. GO PACK GO!

Hyde is playing his best 'ball at SS. He was a CB with us and we had Burnett at SS. In hindsight, would have been better to move him there and move on from Burnett but it's not like it was a huge miss. Maybe Capers should have recognized that Hyde's talents would have played better at S and used him there more, but his hands were kind of tied with CB being a hole and SS being filled by a pretty highly-paid vet.

Hayward was playing really well in ways that were not showing up on the stat sheet (the fact you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen... looking at you, thegreenman) but we were high on Randall and Rollins both of whom flashed as rookies. That was a big mistake, but on TT, not Capers.

Letting those two go, and our issues at the position more broadly, was mostly TT mismanagement. He was a quality GM but his handling of this position group was bad. Packer fans kept blaming Capers for TT problems, the guy really didn't do a bad job when he had decent talent to work with.

Ya, typically players go from scrub to All-Pro in a year and it's due to them magically becoming more talented.
