So far, the tape is not looking good for the crowd that wants to chalk up our struggles on O to having no good receivers other than Adams and/or them just not getting open.

Lazard wide open over the middle, EQ also open against single coverage down the sidelines. Either one of these, if completed, is a big gain and probably wins the game for us. Adams was CLEARLY double-covered from the moment Rodgers looked at him 'til the moment the ball came out of his hands, and he seemingly did not even turn his head to look at his other two options.

That's all you, Aaron. Anyone who sees this and keeps saying otherwise is the Rodgers equivalent of what they accuse everyone else of being for Gute.
Makes me want to throw up...

No receivers. They doubled Adams and that was all she wrote on offense. Lazard and Cobb were useless. Lewis fumbled. Deguara couldnt catch. Jones decided to juke a ghost. Rodgers fault though.
Your GODgers also decided to air it out on a pointless attempt when the game was on the line.
Yup. Frustration throw. I don’t blame him. Would have done the same thing myself. Just chuck it as hard as you can and get that anger out if they aren’t going to give you any talent to work with.

Pause it at 5 seconds... EQ has 2 steps and Lazard is about as wide open as it gets... There is no pressure on Rodgers.

I have no problem saying the front office didn't assemble good teams for a number of years. But most teams don't. You can't assemble great teams year after year.

But the Packers in a 10 year stretch assembled great, great championship caliber teams in 2011, 2014, 2020 and 2021. The fact we won zero of them....
2011, lousy defense and almost zilch running attack, as soon as KC decided to give up under neath coverage, play 2 high safety, and pin there ears back rushing Rodgers we lost, then the Giants came to town, did the same thing, even better and beat us, we had never needed a short ball offense, so when we did, we didn't have one

014 we had two good receivers and Lacy, a up trending defense, and just like last night lost because of blunders on ST's

2020, Rodgers could not over come defensive mistakes and poor play

thing is we shouldn't expect Rodgers to play so well to over come other team failures.

Should we expect him to hit the open man?

No. But we should expect more from Tyler Davis. What a joke of a 5th TE am I right?

of course, but he was already into his release when Lazard broke inside and open, poor decision to throw to Adams and into double coverage though.

Adams was doubled from the get go. There was no reason to throw it there. Wait a quarter second and hit a wide open Lazard or even throw it at the same time and hit ESB who has 2 steps on his guy. Hit the open man.

I like Cowherd’s take on Rodgers’ game yesterday. He “played to not lose” instead of going downfield.

Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!

ya I don't want to sound as though I'am defending throwing into double coverage even though Rodgers has been very successful doing that with Adams.

dumb throw.

Coward does hit on a good point, we often play as though we are playing not to lose, and we play safe, simply because the team that makes the most mistakes often losses, right now we are commenting about why Rodgers should have taken a safe throw to Lazard versus throwing into double covered Adams, to say Rodgers doesn't take risky throws isn't accurate, if Rodgers trust the receiver, or his chemistry with any receiver on any given play he has shown he is more then will to rifle a pass in to very tight coverage.

I really think this play not to lose and play to protect a lead was fostered in him from McCarthy, almost everything McCarthy coached up was conservative and designed to be high percentage play, the vertical iso routes are a good example, most often the only person in position to catch them balls was the WR.

I do agree though, this passing offense is at it's best in attack mode, and getting the ball out of Rodgers hand in a 2 count, it was hyper explosive when we incorporated motion and jet sweeps, and PA early last season, then we lost the players that made that affective to injury, the loss of guys like Hill, Brown, the decline again of Cobb, and rookie Amari slow start just couldn't keep those plays active in ther play book, hardly saw them at all this season.

Imagine if we could pair Aaron's arm talent with 23's arm chair field vision? No team could touch us. Guessing he could fix the special teams as well. Shoot Murph ur number B. Lets do this!.

Something that hasn't been brought up much, and doesn't compare to some of the other glaring issues, but I just can't wrap my head around WHY Yosh was not playing LT last night. It makes absolutely no sense to me.

Well, it does look blatantly obvious Rodgers had a wide open man there.

Thanks for the giggle though.

Sucks we are gunna remember this game for our inept special teams and lack of offensive production and not the best defensive performance I’ve seen a Packers team put up in at least a decade.

@Bogey do you mind running down and yelling at Lafleur and telling him to go find Cobb and Lazard, they might need to be told the game has started.

So far, no seperation whatsoever from anyone not named Adams.
:idn: He wouldn't have listened to me anyway.
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff
