Paco Mock 2022.1
A really quick and dirty mock, but I wanted to put something out there. Maybe I'll do something pretty with the next one. I used Thedraftnetwork.com's simulator. I controlled both the Broncos and Packers so I could pick who I wanted at #9 and #40 (which we get in trade). I don't know these players yet, so look at some of them as just picking the position group.
Trade Rodgers for #9 and #40 and probably a bunch of other stuff. Assume Adams is also a goner as well as at least 1 of the Smiths.
1.9(from Broncos) - David Ojabo, Edge, Michigan (Robert Quinn comparison)
Team up him with Gary and let the Michigan guys attack the QB for us.
1.28 - DeMarvin Leal, IDL, Texas A&M (Chris Jones comparison)
Big guy to help out Clark. Can move around on the line.
2.40(from Broncos) - John Metchie III, WR, Alabama (Tyreek Hill comparison)
Missed out on other options @ 28. Also thought about David Bell (Perdue).
2.59 - Trey McBride, TE, Colorado State
Thought about him at 40. Major versatility, but can be a big play guy too.
3.92 - Quay Walker, LB, Georgia (Jamie Collins comparison)
Very athletic, can cover, tackle, rush the passer
4.128 - Markquese Bell, S, Florida A&M
He's a safety Scheme versatile, plays in the box or single high.
4.137 - Ed Ingram, IOL, LSU
Versatile guard who can play OT. Powerful on the run and can pull. I've seen a 2nd round grade on him.
5.169 - Montaric Brown, CB, Arkansas
He's a CB. We'll need more
7.224 - Danny Gray, WR, SMU (Freddie Swain comparison)
Developmental WR.
7.245 - Chase Lucas, CB, Arizona State
Sub-package CB.
7.255 - John Delance, OT, Florida
OT.

I like. I'm also in the camp that we get good comp for AR. Back to back MVP somebody thinks they are close to risk it
Love the picks esp the 1st too. Elite athletic talents. Metchie comes off soft to me. Not a killer like hill but some talent there
Ingram is like Jenkins flying low but goes high
Great group. Thanks

Thanks for the input. This is the first I'm really looking into anyone. Going to be another year I don't know much.Backthepack4ever wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022 21:50I like. I'm also in the camp that we get good comp for AR. Back to back MVP somebody thinks they are close to risk it

I don’t know the players. But I read up to 92 and 100% agree with the position groups and draft locations! Perfect!
Priorities (maybe in different order):
1. Help Clark.
2. WR help and depth.
3. Another starting-caliber LB.
4. TE with athletic ability!

Come on down and try some of our delicious green chili! Best in the world!
I love Trey McBride!! I know WR's is going to be the cry of the fanbase, again, but I really want this offense to work through the TE as receiver #2 going forward. I feel like offenses that are able to do that are always more dependable.

And I think guys like that tend to help out younger QB's more as well. Jones/Dillon/TE are going to be his bread & butter year 1 starting.

The real challenge with TE is it seems it is a very, very random selection process of finding the great ones.
Seems just as many of the top TEs are Day 3 guys as Day 1 and Day 2 guys anymore.
Agreed. So invest more capital. Oh, Sterny and Deguara might be bums. So what. Back to the well and try again. &%$@, draft 2.
