Happy for Stafford

Ngl, helps Rodgers trade stock too with Stafford having recent success along with Brady the year before. What have you done for me lately.

Wait till f*cking Jim Harbaugh takes over in Minnesota…I am afraid we will wish for negative streaks like the one above. I still think he can walk over water after what he sucked out of Kaepernick and those 49ers back then.

I hope Harbaugh goes to MN.

They will flash in the pan for two years but always comes short and then implode right when we are getting good again.

The 49ers in the early 2010's had loads and loads of talent. That's the reward for sucking. Just like Cincy has loads of talent now.

It is why I keep saying the worst place in the NFL is mediocre. Picking 15th to 20th every year with a record of 9-7. Either be great or be terrible.

The NFL prior to 2010 was hard to rebuild fast because top draft picks cost insane money. Now they don't which is why we are seeing so many more teams turn their franchise around literally in 2 years.

We are in a league where both Ohio teams faced KC in the AFC Championship two years in a row. One almost upset the Chiefs. The other one did. Let that just sink in for a moment.

Chiefs on another level. They will be 6+ point favorites against either NFC team.
Yet they lost to Cincy. That is one thing about the NFL playoffs. Sometimes the better team doesn't win. In other sports like baseball and basketball you play a series of games so the cream rises to the top. In the NFL all you need to do is be better than your opponent in that one particular game. Even tho the NYG won Super Bowl 42 I still say the previously unbeaten NE was the better team just not on that day.

Finally, one of those errant Garoppolo passes found it's way to a defenders hands...and they held on.

I don't know if I've ever seen a QB be so lucky while being so bad. Jimmy G had multiple passes in each playoff game that should have lost them their games yet, for whatever reason, the defenders either didn't play the ball or they dropped the would-be interception. The Packers had multiple chances to take the ball away and even run it back to the house but didn't take advantage. The Rams, too, had several missed opportunities before they finally cashed in.

If I'm a team GM looking for a QB this off-season, no way I'm chasing Garoppolo. The dude is terrible...but lucky. One day that luck will end. That day may have been yesterday.

I'd absolutely take Jimmy G for the right price. He at least brings luck to the table. I'd take Jimmy G over an Andy Dalton. I think they are similarly graded QBs at this point. Lot of it just depends on the price tag.

As for us, I am not taking him because we have a starter either way. And I don't think Jimmy G is that inspiring "teacher". Maybe I am wrong though.

Mahomes chocked worse the Rodgers, and KC defense went into prevent as soon as they got the 3 score lead, reminded me so much of the Packers losses, only Mahomes has not mastered the art of extending plays, it was down right comical watching him running around like a chicken in the barnyard as the foxes ( Cinnci pass rushers ) closed in on him, constantly lossing 10 yrds a crack, it made me feel better about our loss seeing someone else do worse

I'm not wasting my time with either if I'm looking at a season without Rodgers next year. I'd just as soon roll into a season with high upside but unproven guys like Love and Benkert than pay one of those proven failure "mentor" types to do what your QB coach should be doing. Jimmy G, Dalton, Foles, and all those other retreads may get you a win or two...maybe...but in the long run all they're gonna do is not get you to where you wanna go and likely cost you draft position the following year.

I agree with you. It's obvious to me that he was a Brady protege. Objectively he is of middling to maybe even below average physical talent but I'd still go with him over several other guys with more talent because he knows his limitations and plays within them. He knows he's not a hero and doesn't try to play like one. He just does everything that he can do to put his team in a position to win.

Absolutely disagree.

It's nothing he does on his own end...unless he's a jedi that uses mind tricks so the defender drops the INT he so nicely lays out for them.

I will maintain he's lucky. Not good. Not smart.

Lucky.

This part. I don't think it's him and this sentence is giving the credit to him. I think it's luck. Purely luck. He sucks. he sucks a lot but he is lucky and some people are just blessed with more outside forces going their way than others. He gets bailed out like crazy either from his teammates or from the defense just dropping balls/not making plays.

Even in our game, there were a few throws that were so, so close to being pick 6's.

But he's lucky nonetheless.
