When has Jim Harbaugh ever won anything?
People are ragging on LaFleur for 36 months worth of work. How long has Harbaugh been a head coach? Like 19 years now?

I guess now maybe you see why I wasn’t sure what we were arguing lolgo pak go wrote: ↑05 Feb 2022 11:22Yes. I don't doubt he would. He wins everywhere he goes (Michigan can be argued either way)
MN has a lot to work with. They are like most teams in the NFL with a play here or there taking them from 10th best record in the conference to 3rd best record in the conference. A few bounces and a spark and they can be a very good football team.

This whole thing started when GhostLombardi asked "name one person who has a higher winning % than Harbaugh"
I said, "Matt Lafluer"
Then people started to discount MLF's success because of the QB and he can't win the big game. I completely agreed that MLF's legacy isn't maxxed because he has lost two games they should have won and likely ended his best shot at a ring. I made the comparison, since we are talking about Harbaugh too, that both Jim and Matt have the same thing in common of being great coaches, great resumes, but both coming up short in the big game.
You then chimed in saying, "well Harbaugh is better because he made the big game" which I responded and still believe that getting 3rd/4th in the NFL is basically the same as getting 2nd in the NFL...nobody cares. People would complain that MLF still lost a big game even if he won one or two big games prior to it.
Then you started going down a path of Kaepernick and below average QB and I brought up O'Connell the new coach who is also bringing a QB to the SB, a QB you commonly bash on here.
There isn't any argument to be had honestly. Everyone feels the same about Harbaugh. Weird freaking dude who has a very good NFL and college record but programs seem to want to move on from him pretty quick because he is a weird freaking dude.
He is very good. Just like a lot of other coaches are very good. Including our own coach is very, very good. Fortunately so far he is less weird. But give it time and enough losses and fans will probably find that MLF is weird too. Actually, probably not weird, fans will find other ways to bash Matt. I already think the Matt bash will be "I'm so sick of him saying that's on me or he's too much of a players coach, or he's too soft..." something like that.
this loss completely broke you man. What actually happened was that you said Lafleur and Harbough both choke in the big game...i then said that Harbough waited a game longer to choke and has made a SB with a marginal QB.go pak go wrote: ↑05 Feb 2022 13:29Oh that's simple.Drj820 wrote: ↑05 Feb 2022 12:31I guess now maybe you see why I wasn’t sure what we were arguing lolgo pak go wrote: ↑05 Feb 2022 11:22

I then explained there are levels to this and that coaching in a super bowl is an additional feather in the cap of a coach. Win or lose that game, it puts a coach in a class higher than coaches who have never made the super bowl. Thats my firm opinion at least. Then you started talking about the new Vikings coach and what he has done as an OC for McVay.
I responded by saying i havent been mentioning that guy or talking about him at all. Then said it sounds like we basically agree on everything.
You opened the last post with saying what we are arguing is simple, then later said there isnt any argument to be had. I cant keep up haha
Not sure about this Stafford bashing either. I think he has been a very talented stat compiler who didnt win or elevate the Lions to the level a Rodgers or Mahommes would have. I also think if the Rams came to Green Bay, led by Stafford, I would feel better about that game than a game against the Niners. I def think he is a very good QB in general though haha WAY better than a Kaepernick. He may win him a SB this year. I will be happy for him. Although I expect the winner Joe Brrr to get the job done.

Yep, this will end well. Though I'd say that for whoever was going to be the Texans coach.
RIP JustJeff
is this what happens when Flores blackballs himself, but you still dont want to be called racist?

With the hiring of Lovie Smith and Mike McDaniel as HCs, the percentage of black identifying head coaches in the NFL is just over 9%. That's slightly below the black population representation in the US (13%) albeit way below their population representation within the NFL (58%).
Hispanic/Latino population representation within the US is about 18% however less than 0.5% identify as NFL players. As of today, there is only one Hispanic/Latino coach, Ron Rivera, and he represents roughly 3% of HC positions.
Asians represent around 6% of the US population but only have 0.1% representation among NFL players. There are and have been zero Asian NFL HC's. Just ask Eugene Chung.
Just some food for thought when it comes to the annual spotlight on the Rooney Rule (it's about minority hiring, not African-American hiring), race/heritage among the NFL player population, and "racist" coaching hire practices within the NFL.

Didn't even see this mentioned, but with Dennis Allen moving up to the top gig in New Orleans, all vacancies have been filled.
