So you explained exactly why if I am a trading team I would want to place contingencies on my offer.Yoop wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 09:55what GM would go along with that?, thats a good reason for us to get all we can this year, any GM trading for Rodgers knows going into the deal that Rodgers word means nothing, and he is loyal to no one, Rodgers is a phony, everyone is closed lip with him because ya never know how he will take anything thats said in reference to him, he wears his feelings on his shirt sleeve and seems to always be looking for something to resent and hold a grudge overgo pak go wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 09:32Retire next year Rodgers after we get a haul from the Broncos.
Retiring this year as a Packer would absolutely suck.
Also, if I am a trading team, I am absolutely putting in contingencies on removing future picks in a trade if Rodgers retires after a certain time period.

Rodgers has been a good soldier for over a decade and shown alot of loyalty to the org and the fans. It was a good marriage for a very long time.

Not arguing, just wondering - what's the basis for that opinion?
Last offseason was the first time we heard even a peep from Rodgers about threatening to leave. Before that, he sat quietly for three full seasons on the bench, allowed the franchise to move on from Brett without burning the place down, won a SB with the Org, won many division crowns, has stayed out of trouble in GB, and signed multiple contracts. If Rodgers wanted out of the small market, there have been plenty of opportunities to do so before last year. He has brought us many good Sundays, as the org has provided him with the tools to win many games. Hes been a fine soldier. Much better days over the last decade with Rodgers in GB than without.Half Empty wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 10:44Not arguing, just wondering - what's the basis for that opinion?

I guess just more of the same subjectivity and semantics that affect most sports discussions. I agree with most of what you say, just don't view it the same way. Sitting quietly behind a HOF QB after having fallen off the table in the draft seems pretty reasonable. Signed multiple contracts, sure, but good soldier and loyalty to me have to take a far second when those contracts are measured. Agree on most of the facts, disagree on the interpretation of them.Drj820 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 10:57Last offseason was the first time we heard even a peep from Rodgers about threatening to leave. This never ever ever ending drama is exactly why some people would rather watch Youtube videos from 1967 of the Roadrunner running back kickoffs in the offseason (to better understand Special Teams possibilities) ......... and/or wonder which 2022 Packers games will be on MNF, SNF, TNF!

no kidding, I'am turning on the movie grumpy old men, talking to my brother yesterday and both of us are pretty sure if we'd had the Majik man the last 2 years we'd have two more Lombardi's in the trophy case now, Rodgers is a choker.RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 11:54This never ever ever ending drama is exactly why some people would rather watch Youtube videos from 1967 of the Roadrunner running back kickoffs in the offseason (to better understand Special Teams possibilities) ......... and/or wonder which 2022 Packers games will be on MNF, SNF, TNF!

Dick said no news of his future today, lol
I feel like no news is probably good though. I can't not root for a 3 first round trade at this point, some type of 'announcement' would make that less likely.

I will say if he was retiring he wouldn't be dancing around it like this.
