Update: Everyone on twitter is illiterate. I should have never doubted my own ability to glean more from a 5-second scan than thousands do by reading the whole post, and I should never have not doubted the userbase of twitter. I certainly won't be doing that again.

That's fine. But what do you expect Guty to actually say about the draft that isn't a smokescreen anyhow? lol.BF004 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 08:54My biggest complaint about the Aaron Rodgers drama, is it always seems to get in the way of draft related stuff.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022 08:47Apparently, Mark Murphy "speaks" on Wednesday morning. It's a normal thing for him. But how much will the conversation be steered to be about 12? I imagine it'll be about 95% of it all, retirement or trade or coming back.
Like I really really enjoy the draft. I want to here Gute talk about the draft and the combine, and now he isn't gunna get asked a single question about it.

Good point, it's not as though he's ever talked about prospects, the best way for us to garner info about players of interest is with pro days, and even that is very vague.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑24 Feb 2022 07:37That's fine. Between now and March 8, how many sources will write and post articles with headlines like "Rodgers to make decision soon!"?
Seriously, this is already past stale info. But I suppose if ESPN thinks it's wonderful click-bait...

She's a Jersey girl, so maybe has some league office contacts. I guess my big question is would any trade proposals ("on the table") have to be run by the league office or (as I would think would be more likely) just verbal back-and-forth between teams, for now?

They can talk, but the trade window doesn't open up until the league year does. So I don't think they get run by the league office until then.

I was thinking in terms of like pre-approval. Like the Stafford trade being agreed "in principle" last January.paco wrote: ↑24 Feb 2022 10:07They can talk, but the trade window doesn't open up until the league year does. So I don't think they get run by the league office until then.

Reports of Rodgers asking for $50 million sure sounds like a) packers brass making it seem like are making realistic attempts to bring him back but it’s Aaron’s fault he won’t and/or b) Packers legitimately wanting him back and Aaron trying to force his trade.
Or c) someone just threw a dart at a wall and made up a story.

That reporter sounded like she was making things up as she went. "His options are between packers, trade or retirement" - no &%$@ Sherlock.
