When you lay it out like this, it really has been 5 straight years of drama.

there is no better place in the country for a rich person to live then GB, most football players don't hang around GB during the doldrums of winter anyway unless they love winter activities, those that don't can afford to go to a warm climate, would be the same for Rodgers in Denver, not as though they don't have harsh winters there, plus ya have to put up with all the wannabe cowboys, wearing big ol cowboy hats, spitting chaw juice all over the sidewalks, touting firearms, he haw, he hawing....... ah, I guess your right, Rodgers would fit right ingo pak go wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 08:23So you don't agree.Yoop wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 08:02I agree, he doesn't want to hang around if he doesn't think the FO is all in about keeping our best players together so we have a realistic chance to compete for the SB, and that probably includes Adams, I f he feels confident Guty is on board to do this then I'd think he'd love to play out his last years as a Packer, but I think he realizes that may be a impossible task.paco wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 07:13
I think at this point it is who surrounds him. Rodgers potentially wants a certain support group or friends. He knows that is now lacking in Green Bay. But I think he also truly loves the Packers and people in the organization, fans, and his legacy.
Denver or Green Bay are 2 very different situations. I can imagine it is a tough decision to make on where to finish out your career. But I think it has boiled down to a quality of life issue and comfort level. Then to a lesser extent, the football and money stuff.
Think about it;
The Packers are $30 mil over the cap. Then an extra $20 mil just for Adams tag. Another $20 mil or so for Rodgers new contract. That doesn’t include any additional free agent signing or the draft.
Where will the Packers be in 2-3 years? Starting over. Same as where they would be right now if they traded Rodgers and Adams. Except not the extra draft picks and a lot of dead cap money hanging over their heads.
Instead they would have a boatload of high draft picks, less drama, and a rising defense kept more or less intact.
The Cowboys built a dynasty with a bunch of draft picks in the 90’s. After what I’ve seen from Gutey, I believe he could do the same.
So I hope the signs from the tea leaves (or colon cleanse) tells Rodgers to go to Denver.

Do you guys really think he will leave? One way or the other? I don't believe it. But have been wrong once before, or maybe it was twice.
It looks completely fine to me because that picture ended up leading to this:RingoCStarrQB wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 08:46This just doesn't look right (Brett's 2008 Topps Finest card). Never did......and never will.
Imagine AR's card(s) if he leaves Titletown to join another team. Won't look right either.
At this point I expect him to be a Packer.
So do I. But the latest crap about Pittsburg is interesting.

money doesn't matter, we must resign Rodgers no matter the costFoosball wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 09:43Think about it;

you act as though it's cut and dried that we wont win a SB with or without Rodgers, or that we will if we trade him because of all the compensation we will get for him, well there are no guarantee's either way, but I'd take the chance we have a better shot at it with Rodgers.

After watching Rodgers in the playoffs the last couple years, I’d say the odds of winning a SB with Rodgers are going down. If you noticed this past season the defense came through at the end of several games to win it. It was the defense that gave up only 6 points to the Niners.Yoop wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 11:41money doesn't matter, we must resign Rodgers no matter the costFoosball wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 09:43Think about it;

The NFC north has been pretty anemic the past few years. So, yes Rodgers will get GB to the playoffs but without a good defense the Packers won’t win the SB. Rodgers can no longer carry the team. If the Packers resign Adams and Rodgers the defense will suffer.
The only thing bringing back Rodgers accomplishes is cap hell when he leaves down the road.

Maybe you should go back and look at the year he won the Super Bowl and how the defense played and compare it to every year since.Foosball wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 12:09After watching Rodgers in the playoffs the last couple years, I’d say the odds of winning a SB with Rodgers are going down. The defense in the postseason played great and winning football in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2021 and decent enough in 2020
The defense in the postseason played losing football in 2009, 2012, 2016, 2019 and below ideal in 2011
Out of 11 seasons, Rodgers has had great performances from the defense 5 seasons; decent 1 season, below ideal 1 season and downright poor 4 seasons.
Overall his defenses have done well enough over half the seasons in the final playoff game the Packers played.

well we know the defense did well in this last PO game which is not included, and I was surprised at how well the defense did in these other 7 games where it held the opponent to less then 20 pts, so thats 8 games of the 21 PO games Rodgers has played in that the defense was respectable, Rodgers ended up with a Passer rating under 90 4 times, he had a 91 rating in the loss to SF (would have sworn is was worse then that)
The Aaron Rodgers Era may be heading into its final postseason for the Green Bay Packers this season. It's an era marked by the highest of highs and lowest of lows (though not exclusively because of Rodgers, who has been mostly excellent in the postseason).
On Saturday, the Packers will meet the San Francisco 49ers in the newest chapter, where Rodgers will get one last chance to win a playoff game over the team for whom he rooted as a child; so far, he's 0-3.
A look at the 20 playoff games with Rodgers as the starting quarterback, during which no other player on the Packers attempted a pass.
The Packers are 11-9 in the playoffs under Rodgers, including a 5-3 mark at Lambeau Field (5-6 on the road, 1-0 at neutral site).

Watch "what he wants to do" turn out to pertain to something ridiculous, not his future.

this guy just used Bakhtiari's wedding to give his spiel and opinion about Rodgers, what a dirt bag
So in reality, Rodgers is no better than Cousins. Woah which means Rodgers is as good as Brady because Brady and Cousins are the same right???Raptorman wrote: ↑05 Mar 2022 18:28So in reality, Rodgers is no better than Cousins.
