2022 Draft Discussion

time to research my notes from the combine, I'd like to use a couple of our first four picks on a WR and a DT, maybe a TE, or a return specialist type guy.
I love Jermain Johnson.
1. The dude absolutely takes over games and he is super versatile.
2. I want to see how yoop reacts when he begs for another WR and we draft Edge with our first pick again.

It can look like anything, since there are so many possible pick packages.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 07:45So since I'm a little analytical, I must now ask, how would it look if Guty trades BACK with any of those? You know, to take even more bites of the apple? It'll surely happen someplace in those first five picks, maybe even twice.salmar80 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 06:20So, we now have a lot of picks. If Gutey wants to trade up, he has plenty ammo to do it. Gutey has shown he's willing to make moves to get the players he has targeted. On other hand, I tend to be a fan of a lot of bites at the apple, especially with a top heavy roster that needs the depth to be cheap
Here's some reference of what some combos could get us:
22nd + 28th should get us into top 10, 8th per the old trade value chart (TVC), 6th per 2022 Rich Hill chart. But trades involving top 10 picks tend to be funky, since exciting high picks have an impact on ticket sales for sucky teams
22nd + 53rd -> 13th (TVC), 11th (Hill)
28th + 60th -> 17th (TVC), 17th (Hill)
22nd + 92nd -> 18th (TVC), 17th (Hill)
28nd + 92nd -> 23rd (TVC), 23rd (Hill)
:-)
But as quick and dirty examples:
22nd pick -> KC's 30th and 94th
22nd pick -> ATL second rounders 43rd & 58th
22nd pick -> NYJ 38th & 69th
28th pick -> BAL 45th & 76th
ballistic but I don't think I'll have to worry about that, actually I expect to bring in another edge rusher, but likely a later round pick or maybe a UFA like we did with Mercillus
rather then spend a first at edge, I'd rather a DT, we need pass rush help there too.

Knock yourself out. I made a trade value calculator for our group mock drafts, finally got comp picks and updated it.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 07:45So since I'm a little analytical, I must now ask, how would it look if Guty trades BACK with any of those? We would have to trade up to get Johnson I think. Thankfully Adams turned down more money from us to go to Vegas. Saved management from themselves.

Here's trade I could live with. Not picking up a '23 first, but picking up a '23 2nd from Houston which very well should be a top 40 pick.
Say if Houston doesn't take a QB at pick 3 then finally get a little QB hungry there. Be a nice way to spread some of the picks around between this year and next.

Keep that other 7th. I want to make sure we draft Mike Vrabel's kid.BF004 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 14:32Here's trade I could live with. Not picking up a '23 first, but picking up a '23 2nd from Houston which very well should be a top 40 pick.

Qbs in this year's draft have to feel like crap. No one seems to want them. No idea who's going to go where.

I think the kid from Liberty has potential to be a good QB. Maybe not of the highest caliber, but I would put his ceiling at much higher than Jalen Hurts.
I Do Not Hate Matt Lafleur
He very well may be the first QB picked. But he's also the one that seems to need to sit the most, from what I've read. I think he's a likely target for Houston, Minnesota, Atlanta, and Carolina.
RIP JustJeff

Whoops, I had the wrong permission levels, now everyone can play with it. Just try not to break it.

No way GM Rodgers allows Assistant GM Gutekunst to escape the 1st round without drafting a WR. GM Rodgers could even double dip at WR. It’s a very high need. The current squad is the level that can prevent a SB win.

people need to respect there limitations, and when looking at the receivers Gute has drafted he should limit himself to picking CB's, OL, and gator aid distribution specialist whoops I guess I should add in RB's that hit like pre live ball fullbacks, the rest like WR's should come with Rodgers approval, or at least give Dianna a call to see what she thinks

Would you trade 2 1st round picks, one now and one in 2023 for DK Metcalf?…just asking for a friend.
Love is the answer…
