So if Stokes can half ass learn to catch a ball this secondary is the best in the league and can't think of 1 close.
Rasul is one of my favorite players. If you haven’t watched his post game interviews, go back and watch them.
The dude is so humble. Always giving credit to his coaches. He works hard and studies a lot of film. Besides his ball skills, Rasul also has great football instincts like the time he let the gunner go out of bounds. Not mention pick sixes.
This guy is like the Derek Jeter of football.

Love is the answer…
So happy Rasul is back. Now I look like a genius buying his card, whew.

Rasul shinned his way to a 16 ranking out of 116 CB's in his 12 games with us, his best since drafted, Rodgers and Adams call him a rising star, and we just booked him for 7 mil. per, I feel like the kid that just robbed Gramma's cookie jar, he's best on the edge, so we may see Alex moving in and out.

And smoke that: The NFC is not half as tough as the AFC. With keeping the main core together, we get another golden opportunity for the upcoming season. Who would have thought after our 49ers loos that we look good to go now.
The roster is worse. But not as much as expected and a good number of high picks to come.German_Panzer wrote: ↑23 Mar 2022 17:43And smoke that: The NFC is not half as tough as the AFC. That is my main point. Also: Adams leaving is like winning thru losing. Now #12 is forced to be more open minded. So I dunno if we are a really worse, esp. we still have the draft and could/should hit on at least one guy.
It's March. There is no roster yet. I don't know why expectations should be any lower than what they have been the past few years. If they are, we are sure going about this offseason poorly.wallyuwl wrote: ↑24 Mar 2022 21:43The roster is worse. exactly. many were just wrong about the state of the roster and what could be done with the cap. The cap is going to be in hell...but thats in the future.NCF wrote: ↑25 Mar 2022 08:50It's March. At this point we desperately need Bahk to be healed up, we need to pay a vet WR and draft a few, and we need to draft DL and a safety.
We have the cap and the picks to do all of those things.
We should be in good shape to lose in the NFCCG again next year!

Just first noticed this tweet and it made my heart warm.
After the last decade that we've been through here with this team and our CB's, how can you not be ecstatic. All-pro caliber and potentially two pro-bowl caliber players on the same unit.
We have potentially the best corner in football just ready to enter his prime. I wouldn't think a shoulder injury will have lasting impacts on his play.
We just signed a pro-bowl cornerback for $7 million a year, and we know he fits very well in our D.
And we have a first round pick coming off a terrific rookie season with nearly unlimited potential. He wasn't just good for a rookie, towards the end of the year, he was simply one of the better CB's in the league. From PFF entering the playoffs last year:
Stokes took over a starting job in Week 3 and showed immense growth as the season progressed. He comes into the playoffs on his hottest stretch of play. Since Week 12, he has been one of the 10 highest-graded cornerbacks in the NFL. He has allowed a mere 0.46 yards per coverage snap and 3.1 yards per target in that span, both of which are second among cornerbacks. Overall, Stokes has allowed the lowest rate of open targets among all cornerbacks this year at 26%.
from famine to feasting in about 4 years, now that Barry has some faith in Stokes and Rasul along with the return of Alexander I expect Savage will be back to 2020 form, little more freedom to jump some routes and be aggressive, love this defense.
The entire defense, on paper, is the best we have seen in a really, really long time.
