I often read too much into data, but I think this is bad no matter how you slice it.

First, that is absolutely uncanny that he has the same rank in so many categories.

That being said, there are 32 NFL teams, so if you are consistently 19th, you're not even in the bottom third of the league. So it's not good, but it's certainly "starting caliber QB"

It's dead last based on the QB's who have thrown a qualifying number of passes (1,500).

I had the same initial thought as you. What a poorly worded comparison tweet.

I like how that infographic opens with a quote by Darnold expressing confidence in his abilities... and then it's like, "I'mma 'bout to end this man's whole career."

He's probably not a valid starter. But when you start for a loser organization to begin your career and go to an organization that's been down for several years it can be tough to know what you really are.

I definitely believe that the early years of a player's development are a delicate make-or-break period and that aside from the rare exception (e.g. Gannon, Tannehill) you can't unscramble the egg. And bad teams probably ruin lots of guys who may have had success.

With that said, I feel like Darnold would have failed no matter where he ended up. He was billed as this very pro-ready passer, and while he has the arm to make all the throws, he actually was not all that good on some of the fundamentals like footwork, reading defenses, etc. And he's always been a Turnover Machine, both in fumbles and picks.

I never saw it with him.

Food for thought. He shouldn't be starting.

I'm not a big fan of Tom Grossi, but this made me chuckle:

The Packer's front office needs to get off their asses and sign Jaire NOW before he gets priced out.

Honestly with where WR money has been coming in, I am totally comfortable with those CB numbers lately.

Give him 5 for 110 and call it a day. I’d 100% match that Ward contract without hesitation.
