Packers 2022 Schedule

Post by RingoCStarrQB »

OK...as the schedule leaks out we can collectively incrementally fill this thing in. Then post once the entire schedule is released on May 12 on NFL Network. Good place to discuss the various MNF, TNF, holidays, etc.

How about a Thanksgiving Day game at Detroit this year?

GO PACK GO

:packers:

Preseason:

Regular Season:
October 9 New York Giants 8:30 a.m. Green Bay Time. Get the coffee pot ready.

I believe a bye week is common after a London game?

Haven't dug into that.

But week 6 bye week is my guess.

Yeah, WTF happened with that? We got completely screwed out of that rotation.

An early bye week after London lends itself nicely to a last-third of the season Thursday game for a "mini-bye" so maybe this is the year!

Here's some Monday, May 9th 2022 NFL Schedule leak news:

Starting Monday, the NFL will rollout 2022 schedule “leaks”. Following the announcement by the NFL of the first Thursday night game televised on Amazon Prime during the NFL Draft last month, the league is going to give its television partners an opportunity to showcase one of their big games.

On Monday, the first of four games will be revealed on Good Morning America when ESPN will announce one of their prime games to kick off schedule release week.

Following ESPN on Tuesday, CBS will announce one of its games on CBS Mornings followed by FOX and Friends releasing a game on Wednesday. NBC will announce its game during the Today Show on Thursday morning.

By the time the NFL rolls out the full slate of games Thursday night, we will know all five of the International Series games this year that including games in the U.K. and Mexico and for the first time ever, a regular-season game in Germany.

October 2nd: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – London
Minnesota against New Orleans

October 9th: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – London
New York Giants against Green Bay

October 30th: Wembley Stadium – London
Denver against Jacksonville

November 13th: Allianz Arena – Munich
Seattle against Tampa Bay

November 21st: Estadio Azteca – Mexico City
San Francisco against Arizona

Those five games and the four games that will be announced over the course of this week as well as the Thursday night Denver and K.C. game on Amazon Prime will give us a small clue into the NFL season and perhaps one of the four games being announced this week will showcase the Miami Dolphins.

This is how Flexible Scheduling was explained to be rolled out in 2021 (not sure if the same will hold true in 2022 yet):

NFL FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
Begins Sunday of Week 5
In effect during Weeks 5-18
Up to 2 games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Weeks 5-10
Only Sunday afternoon games are subject to being moved into the Sunday night window.
The game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night during flex weeks will be listed at 8:15 p.m. ET.
The majority of games on Sundays will be listed at 1:00 p.m. ET during flex weeks except for games played in Pacific or Mountain Time zones which will be listed at 4:05 or 4:15 p.m. ET.
No impact on Thursday, or Monday night games.
The NFL will decide (after consultation with CBS, FOX, NBC) and announce as early as possible the game being played at 8:15 p.m. ET. The announcement will come no later than 12 days prior to the game. The NFL may also announce games moving to 4:05 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET.
Week 18 start time changes could be decided on 6 days notice to ensure a game with playoff implications.
The NBC Sunday night time slot in "flex" weeks will list the game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night.
Fans and ticket holders must be aware that NFL games in flex weeks are subject to change 12 days in advance (6 days in Week 18) and should plan accordingly.
NFL schedules all games.
Teams will be informed as soon as they are no longer under consideration or eligible for a move to Sunday night.

I find it hilarious and ridiculous all at the same time, that the NFL is "leaking" the schedule themselves.

I hope MM gets a good reception when he comes back. He deserves it.

Yeah. It's really weird to see the Packers and NFL do that.

But I guess its their schedule. They can do whatever.

I was thinking the same thing. For all his faults, the man deserves to be applauded for all the great things he gave us over the years.

The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff

So much for the London then Bye Week theory. Instead, we have a mini-Bye, two road games, and then our actual Bye. We should be good and rested for the stretch run... if we make it there in one piece.
