2022 draft trip. Vegas

Hey y'all. Just giving my annual draft trip exp. Like each year 3 life long friends and I meet up and do a week wherever the draft is. My guy trip. So Vegas this year....

Well to start it's always great to get up with the boys. I flew into Phoenix where my bud Tim lives and drove up together. On the ride the hoover dam was cool as was the Joshua tree Forest. What a creepy looking tree!!

Been to Vegas before and the older I get the less and less it's it's my style. Food was amazing. We hit a Japanese all you can eat barbecue (on Tim's company). Omg it was unreal. We did every meat on the menu plus some 2x. Kobe beef... Good but the tri was better to me. The buffets were great. Wanted to do uni but didn't get a chance.

We stayed at a perfect location. 1 block from the draft and strip. Only problem they blocked off that side so the walk was like a mile to get around. Speaking of walking we did a ton. Like 10 miles easy for the week. Not a big deal but an awful set up. Draft exp overall it was bad. Vegas wants you in Vegas to spend and it showed. the NFL area was subpar. They expected like 600000 ppl and actually it wasn't busy bc I think the draft kept ppl away. Just didn't see the herds of fans like other years. Don't get me wrong it was busy but not the awesome groups like before. Actually Sunday after the draft was busiest.

After the norm casino bars we found a spot And let me tell you the bartender was great, funny and tried to kill me. All booze drinks, mostly on the house the more we acted like packer fans. Ppl came in bc of the chants and sillyness and he poured em heavy. Thursday and Friday nights here were the highlights.

Met some cool ppl. A few from Wisconsin and some die hard jets fans from Jersey that were awesome. Actually planned to see them again next year in KC.

Did I say we walked lot. Yea a few times drunk and some were high got lost, and we pounded the pavement. Speaking of high. Weed and me never clicked. It makes me hallucinate no joke. Well my dumb ass after 18 years tried a little cap full drink and wow smh. As for Vegas and weed it's like smoking cigs. Pot everywhere in every form. Doesn't bother me at all but I just can't. The dispensaries are pretty neat though send some back home for some friends haha. (Tmi)

Oh and I went disc golfing for the 1st time. The friend from Wis loves it and got us to go to one of the 1st courses in the country. I loved it and started here in NC since I got home.

Overall Vegas is still weird and I couldn't live there. I missed green colors. It's a strange town and that's fine but as for the draft they didn't plan crap. Awful setup and effort. Nashville was a 10. Cleveland was a 3 and I'd say so was Vegas draft wise.

Pumped for KC next year. Was there last fall and they are ready and will kill it.

I agree. I was there last oct on a bbq adventure and they were already talking about the draft. There is a cool area dt where the bars and restaurants all meet into a huge commons area for concerts and shift like that. To small for the actual draft imo but I could see bands and events in there.

Awesome write up man, this is great. Had a buddy who went and he said it was wild, but had a good time. Just a big melting pot of NFL fans, but in Vegas it had to be crazy.
