Henry Jordan #74 1961 Topps
I do not remember Norm Masters...
In 1977, seven years after leaving Green Bay, Jordan died at age 42 of a heart attack after jogging on February 21, 1977
I loved this player so much.

He was a well-regarded offensive tackle from 1957-1964. He was the starter for 64 of his 104 games and was the starting RT in the 1961 Championship game. Lombardi typically alternated Masters and Bob Skoronski at left tackle.

At the time of his retirement, coach Vince Lombardi said Masters "has been a great credit to the team, not only for his football ability but for his jovial attitude." Lombardi called him "one of the great tackles in the league."

All of the linemen that did the great blocking for Paul Hornung, Jimmy Taylor, Elijah Pitts and Tom Moore (through 1966) ........... and then subsequently Donny Anderson, Jim Grabowski, Travis Williams, Elijah Pitts, Ben Willson and Chuck Mercein (through 1967 after Taylor and Hornung were done) .... not to mention the QBs Bart Starr and Edmund Raymond "Zeke" Bratkowski were exceptional. Ringo, Bowman, Curry at Center. Guards Fuzzy Thurston, Jerry Kramer and Gale Gillingham. Tackles Norm Masters, Bob Skoronski and Forrest Gregg. Excuse me if I forgot somebody (like Steve Wright). GO PACK GO!!Crazylegs Starks wrote: ↑29 Jun 2022 12:29He was a well-regarded offensive tackle from 1957-1964. ↑ Tootie Robbins in case anyone else was drawing a blank. That was a tough one!

Yesterday I realized that we're only like 2 months out. Offseason has gone by fast.

This one should be relatively easy to guess:

Bill Forester #71 1961 Fleer
That's odd - the drawing of the State of WI is backwards on his card!

Yes. The entire 1961 Fleer Packers card set has the state of Wisconsin printed backwards. Starr, Hornung, Taylor, Forester, Ringo, Kramer, Moore, McGee, Dowler, Jordan and the Packers Team card. I guess Vince hadn't successfully put us on the map yet
