This was 2003. Sherman was our coach. This was the week before Al Harris intercepted the Seattle QB in OT. Holmgren was Seattle's coach when Al Harris made that famous interception return for touchdown. Nate Poole and his wife were guests of the Mayor of Green Bay that day. Both Nate and his wife wore Nate's Cardinals jersey that day in Green Bay.

In hindsight, I think not going for 2 in AZ. After that throw to Janis (two throws, really), I defy Arizona to stop Rodgers from winning that in regulation.
Yeah I was at that game and remember being kind of pissed in real time. Cardinals fans were talking &%$@ about it too.
Cardinals fans (if there really are any authentic Cardinals fans) don't have much to talk about. Cardinals have won 2 championships in over 100 years of existence --> 1925 and 1947. The Cardinals left Chicago for St. Louis in 1960. Donny Anderson going to St. Louis in 1972 never felt good either. Sitting in the 106 degree heat at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe watching the Emmitt Smith rendition of the Phoenix / Arizona Cardinals with white jerseys beat the Favre-led Packers wearing their dark green jerseys was miserable as well.

Curly Lambeau coached the Cardinals in 1950 and 1951. Curly Lambeau then went on to coach the Redskins in 1952 and 1953.

1953 Washington Redskins Head Coach 6-5-1 0-0
1952 Washington Redskins Head Coach 4-8-0 0-0
1951 Chicago Cardinals Head Coach 3-9-0 0-0
1950 Chicago Cardinals Head Coach 5-7-0 0-0
They are indeed a franchise with a dismal history. But they happened to be a pretty damned good team in 2015. Their stadium was pretty new, and I must admit, very nice. But to me, the Cardinals clearly did not have a fan base that was accustomed to winning playoff games. They were kind of like Bears fans when the Bears are having a good season, except worse in a way because at least the Bears have won something in the last 70 years. I guess they did have the run with Kurt Warner, if you want to count that (I don't). Larry Fitzgerald is the most redeeming thing about their franchise IMO.

Mike had 4 winning seasons coaching the Packers, with 3 NFC North Division titles in the 5 years he coached the Packers.

Mike was always able to land on his feet after leaving Green Bay.
