So you went from saying the hire “had almost everything to do with Love” to then admitting Rodgers loves and was upset we let him go 6 years ago...those things imply to me the hire was about Rodgers.

Then you go from the hire being about Love to saying “Hel have influence with coaching up Love”...to that i completely agree. Of course the QB coach is responsible for helping all the QBs play their best.
I cant tell if your serious that the Packers are going to pay Clements to hold Rodgers hand, and believe whats been said by these beat writers spouting such nonsense or not, mostly it seems your just intent on twisting what I say for just personal enjoyment, either way, the person to gain the most from the Clements hire is Love, again Rodgers doesn't need a coach as much as he needed a influx of WR talent.

I don't think Clements has even signed a contract yet, if he doesn't think he can help Love he probably wont, he wont do it to just pacify Rodgers, he has far to much pride for that, that crap your reading is perfect for gullible fans, don't be a gullible fan, it's unbecoming :rotf:
Feel like we are at the place in this debate where i have totally destroyed all your talking points and you totally agree with me about everything, you just dont realize it yet, so you are still arguing. Cheers.
the number one job of a beat writer ( actually all journalist) is to get people to buy there opinion, the glossier and more appealing the opp, the more people will listen, that doesn't mean any of it is true, typically it is what people want to hear.

Luke Getsey left for a upgrade position with the Bears, so we needed to replace him, Rodgers said he likes and thought Clements did a great Job, and Gute said, fine we like him too, thats it, any more then that is speculative.

you didn't shoot anything I said down, who do you think will benefit most from the Clements hire?

This is what I am talking about when I say you agree with me completely as I have totally won this debate from all possible angles, yet you continue to argue because you haven’t realized it yet.

For example, in your own post you just said Rodgers endorsed Clements fully and Gutey went with it. Which is the same is what I said...that Rodgers wanted Clements so the org hired Clements.

But earlier you said: exact quote: “it had almost everything to do with Love”...referring to hiring Clements.

Lol!

So now that you fully agree with me that Clements was hired because Rodgers wanted him, you changed the argument to who would benefit the most from the hire.

Hahaha. This is a classic.

ya know whats classic, is you and several others here twisting the intent of my comments, you seem to think Rodgers demanded the hire of Clements, same with Cobb a year ago, fact is we needed both of those hires, Cobb even though injured added strength to the offense, and Clements will be coaching up Love. so Gute hired them, not Rodgers.

again, who will benefit the most from the Clements hire?

I actually respect Gute for asking for Rodgers input, which is all that this was, Guys like Demosky and other beat writers couldn't sell ink unless they twist this into some sort of Rodgers demand just as your doing, as I said ya got to be really gullible to buy into that ballony.

I admit Gute said Cobb was not his choice, however imho thats because Gute was not going to bring in anyone, he would have stuck ( sink or swim) with his draft pick, Amari, who it appears he over drafted, so we did need Cobb.

but I don't think he'd have went into this season with out a QB coach, and Clements might be the best available, Rodgers offering to coax him out of retirement was probably endorsed by Gute

Can someone help me understand where I mentioned beat writers or Randall Cobb? (Who obviously was brought in at the request of Rodgers)

your probably right, I have to admit, it does seem like Rodgers is now given more respect, just look how Gute caved, first, it was the Cobb hire, Gute even said don't blame me if Cobb sucks, meaning Cobb was Rodgers choice ( covering his back side :hide: ) then adjusting Rodgers contract, again, then a concerted effort to improve the WR position, Finally, he brings in a decent FA vet in Watkins , and uses both 2nd rounders to move up and secure Watson, took another in the 4th with Doubs, and Toure in the 7th, these 3 look far more ready to play then the 3 he took 4 years ago, now the Clements hire, yep does seem like the Rodgers pacification experiment is in high gear
