Percent of vote the winner got will be in parenthesis, position change vs. 2021 will be in brackets.

Here's how this works:

Each day there is a new thread/poll, starting at #1, on down to whereever we get. The whole point of this exercise is to have something to talk about in the lean news months to carry us to camp. Each poll will be open for voting for 24 hours. New threads will only be created on weekdays. Ties will cause a runoff poll. You may vote up to TWO players (a change that was made mid-poll last year, seemed to work well).

Simply voting is not enough!

Post why you voted for who you did and provide a player to add to the next poll (every poll will be a list of 15-20 guys, new players added in bunches every few days).

Here's the thing. There is no criteria. This is an exercise to foster discussion therefore there are no clear criteria for ranking. Who is better right now? Who will have the best season? Who was better last year? Sort of a combo of them all? Do you take positional value into account? It really doesn't matter.

Hill here for my first spot. Dudes a playmaker, he'll be on the 2022 highlight reel.

Going to join the Nixon camp for pick 2. #4 CB sees a good bit of playing time between D and ST.

I'm throwing votes at Rhyan. I think he'll be a starter for a good portion of the season, be it earning that role of as an injury shuffle fill in

Rhyan and Nixon, I... guess? :dunno: Again, really feels like shots in the dark now.

I wasn't expecting t'Onion to be a go for Week 1. I would have voted for him a lot earlier; I'd be pushing for Davis a lot more right now, too.

It is very possible that Tonyan isn't ready in week 1, and I have no confidence in Deguara as a a receiving TE so I chose Tyler Davis as #1. The plus for Davis also is that he is the second best blocking TE, second only to the Big Dog. So I could see him getting a lot of snaps even if Tonyan is TE#1.

Then I was thinking about WR. I think Cobb is over the hill and best used as a player/coach/backup. He has lost his speed. So who is going to be in the slot? Maybe Doubs. Then there is Watkins who has a major history of getting dinged up and being ineffective. Doubs could replace him. Finally there is Lazard who I really like but the fact remains that Rodgers would rather hit 50% on a 20 yard pass than 80% on a 5 yard pass for a first down, and so Rodgers does not throw to Lazard often enough. Watson needs to be WR#1 but he is also going to need to come off the field for coaching now and then. Long story short, Doubs will probably get more snaps than Reed and TJ combined.

This is a tough tier, and crucial for potential success. We need a few of these guys to surprise in a positive way.

Went Rhyan and Nixon. Pretty sure at least one of our rookie OL will have a big role, but dunno which one. Nixon has flashed, and since no one should want to face our bigger fronts, teams could try spreading the D and forcing the dime.

A LOT of these guys could end up with plenty of snaps, but so hard to predict who takes that step in camp. Enagbare could play plenty due to lack of depth, Davis and or Deguara if Tonya misses time, etc.

I understand the logic for a defensive back here. But why not Jean-Charles or a third safety rather than Nixon? https://www.packers.com/video/rock-report-a-lot-to-like

Because Nixon spent all of the mini-camps and OTAs playing the nickel with the 1s and our 3rd safeties are less experienced than Nixon. He may be new to us, but he's more experienced and playing ahead of the guys you mention.
