I don't understand what changes now for his injury to improve. Throw in body weight and the stress the position puts on the knee.

Contract has been a disaster in hindsight.

Yup. What an unfortunate disaster this has been at the fault of nobody.

Really sucks. This changes a lot of things.
I’m not so sure no one is to blame. Not blaming anyone yet, but these things usually don’t just get botched at this point in the acl reconstruction game. Someone gave Bahk bad advice, Bahk didn’t take rehab seriously, Bahk rushed the process somewhere along the line...all real possibilities.

But just wanted to say...you have said all along you will wait till camp to judge. I appreciate that you are now holding to that line.

I don’t like reading people say they won’t worry until he’s not ready to return by the trade deadline, then say they won’t worry as long as he comes back a few weeks before playoffs, then they say “oh no worries as long as he’s back by playoffs”, then “as long as he’s back by super bowl, next is “as long as he’s back by OTAs, then “as long as he’s back by camp”, now we are already seeing missing camp as being not a bad omen and as long as he’s back by the season. Lol it’s wild.

Call a spade a spade, he may come back one day and be great...but the signals we are getting are BAD.

Players that start the regular season on the PUP list can't play until game #7.

I was not worried about him missing some spring things, but yeah, missing any of camp is a baaaaad sign.

So, now that I'm worrying about it, how is it helping? :idn:

I can feel the urge to want to place blame somewhere, but before we know more, it's simply impossible to know where to put it.

Not going to worry unless it's looking like he can't start the season. Don't need him in camp.
I January people were saying this about training camp. In November they were saying it about the playoffs. It has been over a year and a half. He is done.

The man is cooked.

At least more people are being honest that obvious bad signs are in fact...bad signs. “Worrying” won’t help heal the knee, but still good to honest about situation.

In terms of “blame”, it’s not about finding someone to blame....it’s just about not automatically saying no one is at fault and it could just be bad luck....it could just be bad luck, but also there could have been catastrophic failures along the way.

I was at my grandparents today. My uncle looked at his son's phone, his eyes got big, and he looked at me and said "Bakh is on PUP!"

Yeah, exactly. This is alarming, if not totally disconcerting.

Okay, I am moving Bakh to "believe it when I see it"-territory (on him ever playing again).

With that in mind, the question now becomes... do we roll with Jenkins at LT and not look back? He's our best OL and has proven up to the task. Yosh gets the job done and is fine for what he is, but Jenkins is head and shoulders the better player, and I don't see anyone particularly close.

Uh, Jenkins is also on PUP. And he was the last one to tear his ACL. What do you have in mind BEFORE December?

IMO it has to be Nijman at LT and let him play the entire year (including post season if there is one).
As for RT and RG, Newman and Rhyan but not sure which one at RT and which at RG. Jenkins can start at either spot when he is ready, probably mid season.

The problem hits home in the playoffs. AR is a head case if Bakh is not protecting his blind side. 1 and done - again.

With Jenkins also on PUP we can't rely on that either.

If Nijman is at LT and doing well all season I doubt AR will be a headcase if Bak isn't in there in the playoffs should we get there.

I thought Runyan played just fine at LG last season.

We did cut Turner and restructured Bak this off season so maybe there's more faith internally in him coming back. Gute isn't that dumb is he?

Then again, maybe the draft capital we spent on OL is the closest we'll get to them acknowledging that this has been a disaster.

I thought bringing Bulaga back would be insurance, now it looks like a search for a replacement tackle, more bad luck with this OL

The whole Bulaga thing is funny. The little effort people go to see why he is in GB and then refuse to hear it when people on this forum say it's because he is bringing his kids to watch a soccer game (based on Bulaga's own tweet) just blows my mind.

Is there a chance he is here for another reason too? Sure. But I would put the "here on vacation with family" like he said he is ahead of "oh he is here to bring support at tackle" like this forum wants it to be.

First I’ve heard of the soccer, didn’t refuse to believe anything.
