Sammy Watkins back at practice today. More of a walkthrough speed so a nice day to re-acclimate.

Randy Ramsey also practicing.
This is very, very good news!

Intriguing to see how many roster and game day roster spots "Bisaccia's guys" get.

Hard to carry a bunch of pure STs specialists on game day, but at least the emphasis at finding good ones has been there. May lead to a couple of seemingly out-of-the-blue players making the roster.

In theory, I like the idea of a gunner/returner with sub 4.3 speed. Rico Gafford has that. Can he catch and carry the ball and tackle? We'll see aboot that.

Rodgers, content with his MVP trophy and Bahk, content with his contract ham it up bozo style on the golf cart.

Few things I have noticed so far.

Stock up:

Romeo Doubs, Jordan Love, Zach Tom, Devonta Wyatt, Rico Gafford

Stock down:

Not a whole lot at this point, but I just get the feeling Amari Rodgers is falling down the depth chart and usefulness quickly. Especially with Gafford and Doubs looking to be leading the return duties.

Jones had good things to say about Amari a couple days ago during a NFLN interview. But doesn't seem yhe coaches feel the same way.

I've seen plenty of tweets indicating Amari's making catches and involved in the team portions. Not sure where that comes from aside from Winfree and Doubs being better and flashing more.

Always encouraging to see 1 of 2 packer WRs who have caught passes from Rodgers on the roster making a catch of two at camp.

:dunno:

Lazard, Cobb, Amari, and Winfree have all caught passes from Rodgers. Lazard and Winfree have both had really nice starts to camp. Amari and Cobb both get passing mention in team periods. I actually think that I've seen as much about Amari's involvement in camp as I've seen about Cobb's.

It's also been very clear that the WR position has been rotating guys in and out, and MLF specifically said not to read into who is playing where and with who this early at that position.

I'm just not sure how we have a read on any "stock down" WRs given there is no depth chart and no one has gotten negative reviews to my knowledge. Unless you want to say malik Taylor and Christian Watson for missing this time to make moves.

I would quibble with Wyatt being in the "stock up" category. There haven't been any pads yet and when the team broke into two halves with the starters and key reserves working on one side and the rest working the other side, Wyatt was with the rest, while Slaton and Reed and Lowry and Clark were with the 1s/2s. That's not to say he's stock down; just he hasn't ascended yet by what I'm reading/seeing.

Simple typo, however I never said catching a few passes in camp indicated he was trending down. Just that it was funny how low the standards are for him.

I haven't heard anything whatsoever about the running game. No plays of note.

Sounds like part of that reason is our DL >>> OL.

And the other part of that reason is no pads. UNTIL TODAY

(though we have to wait for tomorrow for full pads)

Also, we are at the mercy of seeing camp through other eyes. Since the WRs are a big story, we are going to hear about WRs. The new and interesting things always dominate coverage.

Yeah, the reporters will be assuming Jones and Dillon will be just fine, and tend to direct their attention somewhere else. LaFleur won't be showing any potential surprise plans involving Jones in the public portions of practice, anyways.

And practicing the run without pads is like practicing tennis without the racket...
