Not sure if anyone has commented on this yet.
During a post game interview Kiesean Nixon said he that he recognized the play that Mahomes was going to run. In the interview Keisean said,
“We were watching mannerisms tape earlier in the week,” said Nixon at his locker. “He tapped his knee and they put two off the ball, and I’m like, oh I’ve seen this before. I knew he was going to run it and he ran it.”

First, it’s amazing to me that the Chiefs would be so foolish to know this is on film and continue to do it and take the risk…. stupidity or arrogance?
More importantly, Keisean recognized the situation, then executed the response with perfection. He did his homework and he made a big play. Now that, is a football player!!

Not sure they were aware the signal had been picked up on. They damn sure are now.GJPackerBacker wrote: ↑05 Dec 2023 18:26First, it’s amazing to me that the Chiefs would be so foolish to know this is on film and continue to do it and take the risk….
Kinda wish Keisean would keep the details of their film study revelations more opaque.

They do that film study every week on every team and that goes for every team in the league. There aren't a lot of secrets in the NFL. They don't reinvent their offenses or calls week to week. Tweak maybe but by and large teams know what other teams like to do in certain situations. it's mostly about execution.

Accurate, but on that last drive (imo):
late hit out of bounds - NOT a penalty
10 second runoff MISSED after fumble was overturned. Pacheco's penalty (I don't think) warrantys clock stoppage, you're not supposed to be able to commit a penalty to stop clock.
Rashee Rice was being pushed backwards, forward progress clearly stopped in bounds, but they awarded him the sideline and gave the chiefs a free timeout
DPI missed on MVS throw, indeed
Hail Mary was normal pushing and shoving imo
SO 3 to their benefit, 1 to ours by my scoreboard
Precisely the points I was making earlier in the post-game chat.Madcity_matt wrote: ↑06 Dec 2023 09:47Accurate, but on that last drive (imo):

I'd add the missed 10-second run-off would have also been augmented with a winding of the clock as soon as the ref's signaled the end of the announcement and ball back in play. As it was, the clock didn't continue to wind until the ball was snapped.
Those clock management officiating blunders gave the Chiefs at least two, more likely three, additional plays to try and tie it up.
Packers received this email from a Chiefs fan after Sunday's game:
Will say this after visiting Green Bay. No fan base (local) is nicer to opponents fans than Packer fans. Very welcoming and thankful for visiting their town. And wished us a good time any chance they got. Definitely the classiest organization in sports I’ve witnessed
The Packers lunatic fringe is more visible because of sheer numbers. The Packers have one of the largest fan bases in all of sports. If the fringe percentage is the same as with other teams, then we end up with larger volumes of nut jobs. - JustJeff
10,000 thx for posting that...I've heard it many times before from visiting fans, they truly appreciate the hospitality shown by Packer NationBogey wrote: ↑06 Dec 2023 15:07Packers received this email from a Chiefs fan after Sunday's game:

Interacted with a bunch of Chiefs fans on Sunday night, they were a great bunch of fans as well. Been to a few Bills games at Lambeaus, their fans were super as well. Would be interesting to see the experience travelling to either though.

Absolutely no joke about it.Bogey wrote: ↑06 Dec 2023 15:07Packers received this email from a Chiefs fan after Sunday's game:

Every time I go to Lambeau visiting fans comment just how nice Packers fans are. Tailgating in Green Bay is truely the absolute best experience in the NFL. I think the smells are probably better in KC, but the hospitality in Green Bay is ridiculous and visiting fans always comment on it.
It was especially noticeable when I was in GB for the Eagles game in 2019. The Eagles fans just couldn't believe in the difference of how we treat them vs how they treat their visiting fans.
And for the punts, we need to give a shout out to ST's, in particular to our punter, whatever his name isYoHoChecko wrote: ↑03 Dec 2023 22:59Packers possessions:
13 plays, 75 yards, 7:47; TD
8 plays, 75 yards, 4:21; TD
8 plays, 38 yards, 2:10; punt (boo)
7 plays, 67 yards, 4:16; TD
7 plays, 16 yards, 3:15; punt (BOO)
11 plays, 55 yards, 4:38; FG
11 plays, 35 yards, 4:05; FG
That's just fantastic. Against a top-notch defense, too.
Seriously, he's been placing it inside the 20 often and gunners are getting down and pinning them back even further.

thanks for posting.....Good stuff.
I hope that kid had a great experience to take with him the rest of his life. Sure looks like he did...minus the victory!
I just love football so much. What a great way of bringing people together from various parts of the country.
I love it when stadiums/cities celebrate the game and entertainment rather than being a$$ hats. Good on Green Bay for treating this kid well.
I just think back of learning about hip hop in Atlanta, eating Carne Asadas in Los Angeles, talking to silocon valley programmers at Levi Stadium, an investment banker in Denver, a restaurant owner in Atlanta, uber depressed (but funny) fans in Cleveland, talking about life in the North Pole Alaska with Daryn Colledge's mom in Chicago, being told I was a pussy from a grandma in Green Bay who could outdrink me in fireball shots...

What a beautiful, beautiful game and celebration of life.
