Well then I'd guess the Chargers Brandon Staley. That guy would wrong decision himself out of a Pee Wee league win opportunity.

Think of a team that just sucks.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
That's still a big list....hmmm.
So the Bears then!

It's crazy how not even close it is. The Bears are at 48% and the next lowest is at 52%.

I don't really understand getting it 4-6 yards closer for Carlson; the guy misses extra points and has the leg to make 60-yarders. He's made 50% from 40-49 yards and 60% from 50+ yards. There's no need to get him in the right spot. If you're gonna kick, kick. If not, TD.

My two thoughts going into this game:
1) Da Boys will want to HIT Love as often as possible. Has this kid really ever been beaten up in a game? I think the Boys will want to find out. They can't just let an ascending QB with weapons work at his own pace.
2) If our offense still is developing, I think it'll be able to keep up. The OLine has turned into a reliable unit. The WRs are diverse and fast. The TEs can't be covered by anyone but themselves. Aaron Jones... And the overall speed of this unit is excellent. That field was made for speed.
I do think about which of our defenses will show up too. I think it'll have good moments. But I just can't go with a prediction of a playoff worthy performance by this unit. I would love them to prove me wrong.
In the end, does the team with the ball last try a walkoff figgy?

To the last question... yes, probably how it goes. Though Carlson will likely miss if he gets his shot.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑12 Jan 2024 16:58My two thoughts going into this game:

Given the COLD weather forecast, it only seems like the NFL should move this game from temperature-controlled Dallas to the Frozen Tundra! Instead, the Chiefs will be hosting the coldest game. Drat it!

Will it be able to compete with the Ice Bowl?Scott4Pack wrote: ↑12 Jan 2024 17:14Given the COLD weather forecast, it only seems like the NFL should move this game from temperature-controlled Dallas to the Frozen Tundra! Instead, the Chiefs will be hosting the coldest game. Drat it!
Will be similar to 2007 NFCCG at Lambeau. Not nearly as cold as Ice Bowl, or as cold temp (much less wind chill) as the 1982 AFC game in Cincy.
For proper comparison (which is probably impossible so don't think I'm criticising!) these figures need splitting between fourth down when there is a choice and 4th down when there isn't. Incompletions on 4th and 34 with a second left to play shouldn't really count as failures.Half Empty wrote: ↑12 Jan 2024 10:422019 - 7/14

Let’s hope Barry dials up another elimination performance from his defense.

The bizarre thing is that we guess that our D will not be up to par. Yet, Barry gets his guys ready for games that are very important. No real telling what we'll get tomorrow. But there is a pattern here that cannot be ignored either.
Yeah, I'd still let Joe go once our season is over either way.

Another thought. All season, I've been telling this forum to "believe."
Now, we will find out if the Packers truly believe or not. There are different kinds of believing.
There is the kind of belief when we think about the stuff that we think is fun or important. That's just a type of easy believing.
There is the kind of belief when you make changes because you deeply believe the "why" of what you believe.
Then, there's the kind of believing when you are totally sold out and would run through a wall if you needed to.
In the NFL playoffs, the teams that have the most of that last kind of belief are the ones that usually win.
I do think that this Packer squad is now that second kind of believing but they might still be ascending to that last part. I think we'll find out in the first half if they have gotten to that last kind or not.

To steal a quote from former Packers public relations director Chuck Lane .... I'm hoping McCoach and Dak go into tomorrow's game "tighter than nuts on a new bridge". Basically a Dallas defense unable to stop the run, leaving Jordan Love to win the game with a flawless array of checkdowns and clutch chain moving pass plays, Aaron Jones all day, plus including some surprise QB rushing plays ala Josh Allen.
Gameday!
Got a pot of chili going as I type. Gonna get some ultimate nachos going along with some chicken wings and rotel queso dip.
LFG!!!

Lots of Jones and our speedy TEs please. Mix in one or two INTs by our DBs. And we stun the world in Dallas.
