Good. I like what he has done with our D in just one season.

Glenn seems like a worthy choice for HC. We'll see how good he is but I think he earned a shot at being the head guy.

The problem with NYJ is their owner doesn't know ball and won't just $%@# off, so I don't know if we'll be able to fairly judge him.

I wonder what Glenn is going to want to do with Rodgers.
do you wanna bet on it?

The Jags just fired their GM. Hoping they don't hire Sullivan and Hafley now.

I know some fans spoke highly of Van Pelt when he was here in GB. I honestly cannot attest to what level of impact he had. But I know that Rodgers had one of his MVP seasons (2014) under him as a QB coach.

From my perspective, the most important thing this organization can do this offseason is to bring in a QB wizard who can work with Love to bring his game to the next level. He has so much athleticism. But if we ever want to get over the hump, he's going to need to clean some things up.

Can Van Pelt be that guy for him?

Rodgers also threw a pretty big public hissy fit when the Packers did not retain Van Pelt after the 2017 season. My take on AVP is he is fine, but no guru, and someone who did little to actually push Rodgers (which is why Rodgers probably liked him at that point in his career). Tom Clements was far superior as a QB Coach, IMO.

Ah, yes- Clements. Memory is not serving at the moment. Was it Clements or Philbin whose son passed away, causing him to miss a playoff week? Circa 2011.

Philben.

The Packers lost to the Giants that game, too.

I would think he'd ask a strong-armed OC to handle Rodgers AND pay respect/homage to the QB who would want to drive the bus.
;-)

B/R reporting that Glenn and Jets HAVE agreed to terms, which include sending a 3rd in each of the next two drafts to the Lions for comp.

When did this start happening? I thought only HC’s could be traded for and assistants and coordinators if allowed to interview under contract could advance their position if offered?

If the Hets traded for Glenn to be a HC that’s about the bum best thing imaginable considering they could just hire him as a HC because it’s not a lateral move. I can’t imagine this being true.

The Jets didn’t trade for Glenn. The news is badly written. The Lions are awarded the comp picks from the NFL (not the Jets picks) because they developed a minority coach who was hired by another team as head coach.

On another note, Saleh is poised to go back to SF as DC. Just what I feared when we hired him as an “offensive consultant”. Hope he signed a NDA…
