They could have gotten Turner back. He only got a 1 year deal for 2.5M. I mean I’ve been saying he’s bad and massively overpaid for years while this forum told me he was a bargain for 7M and outplaying his deal but I won’t rub it in that I was right again… or will I?

What makes you right? That the team must have thought he sucked too and that’s why they cut him??

I still think the team was wrong and with no Bahk and Jenkins, no matter how “not great” Turner was...you still keep around at that price point just for depth. He’s far better than the depth we will have to trot out there now!

My first thought was: TB must not believe WRs 4 and 5 should play STs... They now have a vets for 5-wide package.

My hope wasn't/isn't signing Julio, but spending a pick in a trade for a WR in his prime.

there are teams that think having 4 legit WR's is wise.

and there are teams that quibble and decide going into the season with there two best tackles on the pup is a risk there willing to take, Turner signed for chump change, not a wise decision to let him go.

You guys aren't seriously wanting Turner back to play LT, are you? He was not good when he played on the left IMO.

Tackles are like wrs on this team. Unnecessary until the post season when we play better teams at the highest level.

Rodgers will carry this team to the playoffs and then the rush and cover will be too much for this oline and wr group.

Hopefully special teams is fixed.

No, people want Turner to play RT while Nijmen plays LT when/if Bakh misses time until Jenkins gets back.

I will never say "this is our year" any more. I'm far too jaded for that.

But I will say this is a damn good football team.

Julio still making the money.

Wanted Julio more, but I like Sammy at his price much more.

Perhaps, if on the very cheap. Could use a speed rusher as a change-of-pace and to exploit certain matchups.

But I didn't realize Ford had started only 41 games in his 8-year career.

There's double risk: Injury history is loooong, and age can take away the speed from his speed rush. Kinda like with Clay Matthews, once that speed goes, you can be somewhat productive with good technique, but if you don't win around the edge, it's easy for OL to push you past the QB, and that leaves open huge scramble lanes. The power rusher likes of Gary and Preston at least usually can keep the QB in the pocket even if they don't win on a rep.
