I was never really bought in on the “NFL is rigged” conspiracy but this really gives me pause.
just look at how teams (us) go to 3 score leads in the first half and look almost dormant to start 2nd half allowing the opponent back in the game, it looks so choreographed it would seem on purpose to keep the point total aligned so Vegas makes hugo macho millions.
obviously if the games were rigged word would get out, right?

What you just described is the reason I never really bought into the rigged claim. Lulls happen during games.
What I’m talking about, and what you didn’t address, is the blatant clock manipulation noted in the video.

One possible explanation is that the TV feeds clock was not in sync with the actual game clock.

TV clock isn’t official and isn’t rare for it to be off.
Show it stopping on the scoreboard and then we’d have a discussion to have.

your right, lulls do happen. but at times seem premeditated, that was the basis of my response, and that's a good description of how we get a comfortable lead and then go comatose in 3rd quarter, sometimes.
and all it takes is one ref to stop the clock, as others have said, often the time clock is not the same as the play clock, and when they are not the same, the fans want answers, blame coaches, refs, and God almighty

karma is a bitch...and so is Dan Campbell
but the real culprit is the &%$@ playing field in Detroit, it has claimed as many or more than the death turf in minny.

It is a slit film type turf. Gen 2. Most now use gen 3, a hybrid. Packers and Steelers use something completely different that has real grass as well as some synthetic fibers. The slit film is what the NFLPA has been trying to get rid of. It is more common in baseball since the ball rolls better.

Well I be darned. I thought Belichick hated the Jets just as much as they hate him.

He does. And he knew Woody would never hire him
But he wanted Jets fans to lament they
could have had Belichick...thus placing immense pressure on the owner and the new guy
It was just another well-orchestrated middle finger from Bill...who surprisingly enough is the one who leaked that story

It’s just business and money talks, but there is still room for principle.

We should flip Doubs this offseason if someone bites. Maybe get a first and give Doubs and our 3rd, maybe our 2nd if it’s a nice first.
Then sign Davante to like a 2 year deal.
Just smart business.
I’m still looking for a way to get a 2nd first before this draft in Green Bay.

The Lions are getting real unhealthy at the right time. Look at that IR list, jeepers.
PFT:
"The Lions placed defensive tackle Alim McNeill, cornerback Carlton Davis, and cornerback Khalil Dorsey on injured reserve.
McNeill and Dorsey are out for the season, but Davis has a chance to return from his fractured jaw if Detroit advances far enough in the postseason."

I wouldn’t touch Adams. Just not this late in his career. Unless it’s for some extreme bargain and I know he still has good games in him but at some point age will catch up and you don’t want to be caught holding the bag on that one.
As for dealing Doubs I’m on the fence about that. On one hand at a minimum I think you could get a 3rd for him. Like without a doubt which is fantastic. On the other hand idk if I trust Watson or Wicks enough to carry on the outside and idk if I trust Reed to carry as a WR enough in the slot.
Doubs right now is our absolutely must have it go to player. When a play needs to be made he is the guy our QBs are looking to.

Falcons bench Cousins.
The Kirk Cousins era in Atlanta is over. There was one?
There was. For fourteen games. After five subpar performances, Cousins has been benched for rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
The Falcons made the announcement on Tuesday night.
“After review we have made the decision Michael Penix will be the Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback moving forward,” coach Raheem Morris said in the statement. “This was a football decision and we are fully focused on preparing the team for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.”
