Yeah, the unit was down a couple starters Thursday night but this is ridiculous.

Still on the road. They are not driving anybody off the ball because they are all trying to seal their men off from the play. But the T Walker should have realized that the double team beat the down lineman and that Runyan could finish it. He should have got off that block and taken the LB in the hole. That being said, you need a yard as a running back. You've should have more momentum than the LB who slid into the hole. Run through the LB and get a yard rather than balk and take the automatic loss.

Had Jones been the RB he could have taken it outside. Watson forced his man inside and back. The outside was open but Dillon did not have the quickness or vision to take it outside. Maybe Wilson could have. And that is a big problem for the Packers running attack, it is 1 dimensional, Dillon can't turn the corner.

With that said, a fake to Dillon and Watson is wide open. Somebody must have told the Lions that it was 100% run up the middle.

Agree with this analysis. Walker should have pushed to second level instead of laying down in the hole. Dillon trips on the turf regularly so expecting him to hurdle Walker and maintain forward momentum is asking a lot (queue sarcasm). There wasn’t much but he totally stops instead of diving forward to get something.

Got around to watching this. Seems to be a lot of Love not taking what was open especially in the first half, some LaFleur for some poor scheme choices, some other players playing poorly. Love seemed to lock it in by halftime, but some protection issues still remained.
