I keep seeing LVN packaged in a player/picks deal for Garrett. If there's gonna be a player included, my money says it'd be Gary.

Sure, it'd be painful...for the Packers. Not so much for the Browns. For them, it's a bargain. And Gary provides actual value in compensation rather than what many Packer fans seem to believe with LVN.
My reason for LVN or Enegbare is the Browns simply need a player and they are in cap hell. They are -$27.5MM in cap space right now for 2025 with top 51. They can't really trade highly paid player for highly paid player. That wouldn't really help them. What they need is to dump Garrett. Get future captial that let's them talent at a low cap cost and a guy to just take snaps this year and next year at a low cap cost.

Gary will cost the Browns basically $59MM in cash out the door the next 3 years (that will hit their cap).

LVN will cost the Browns $5.5MM in cash out the door the next 2 years

Enegbare will cost the Browns $3.2MM the next year.

LVN and Enegbare aren't good but they aren't terrible. They are competetent pass rushers and that's why I think they may want them if we were to make the deal.

Speaking of their cap, how do they move Garret without making their cap situation worse. Could they mark the trade as a Post June 1 trade? Is that something that can be done?

You can announce it but not file the paperwork is one way (similar to players announcing contract acceptance during the tampering period).

I also thought I heard the deal can be labled a Post June 1 after some point after the draft but I don't know for sure because we went through that with Rodgers and the Jets deal

Basically it could be announced but Garrett is still a member of the Browns until it can officially be logged wit the league. What I don't know is if a 2025 draft pick can be used if it is Post June 1. I would honestly doubt it could be as you can't transfer an asset yet.

Lot's of intersting things with the Garrett situation.

Fluffs making a big surge in second half.

I don't know if Rodgers could do that. Favre obviously wanted to stick it to us, but I think Rodgers still feels like he is a Packer at heart. Last season he referred to us as "we" on the Pat McAfee show, even though he was on the Jets. I don't know if he could go to the Queens.

He's always been the Anti-Favre so I doubt he'd screw with his Packer legacy for a year.

Rumor is if he keeps playing it will be with IND. I think the betting markets had PIT as the top team behind retirement.

Pittsburgh makes most sense, for wanting him.

Not sure if Aaron would want to go to a team with limited offensive firepower and sub par OL.

Minnesota might just make most sense unless Aaron wants too much money, Minny isn’t flush with all the guys they’ll want to resign.

49ers a possibility if they haven’t bought into Purdy, but again, $$ might make that hard.

Aaron could do himself a lot of favors if he’d play for just like $20m.

Could see Rams if Stafford retires.

His best bet might be the other NY. Daboll is a great offensive and QB coach who could actually design an offense that works for him. No succession plan at QB, could really use a bridge guy there. I think(?) their OL is decent, maybe need to shore up a few spots but they have the LT and some solid pass-pro guys, plus some nice receiving targets with a budding star in Nabers.

But he probably wore out his welcome in New York too much.

He does have his house in Tennessee and they need all the help they can get at QB, but their OL is a disaster, would probably force him into retirement once and for all.

all in, I don't care, as long as it's Max or Myles, first names matter, they have to start with a M as in Mike, or Mick, or Mitchell

thing is it could amount to the Jet effect :thwap: , look at how Garrett acted once Adams started eating some of his touches, we use Max a few snaps more than Gary, or his prodigy LVN, and they may revolt the same way :rotf: or just maybe Max or Myles will show them how pass rush is supposed to look, either way, who cares, we just want to bury opposing QB's, the more good pass rushers, the better. :aok:

LVN hasn't earned any right to complain about a FA getting more snaps

Oh my god the numbers are actually real.

The amount of cap hit 2026 - 2029 the Eagles are absorbing from 2022 - 2024 players is insane. Frankly I can't believe it's even allowed.
