I would think Daboll would be a candidate as well.

Oh wow, that's good they got the GM on board so quickly. I really thought they might miss a wave of hires by waiting, but they're in perfectly good shape.
Flores to NYG would be a little weird because Patrick Graham, the NYG DC (who many expect to stick around) was with Flores in NE and then worked under him in Miami and left Miami to go be a DC for a team that didn't have a defensive HC so he could fully run the D and reuniting them brings continuity and familiarity but would essentially be a step backwards for Graham, which might make him look to move on.

Get right at the top and then work your way down. I get what you are saying, but if they like Flores and Graham moves on, so be it.

Oh, 100% agreed; that's not a reason not to hire Flores; it's a possible trickle down effect that I'll be keeping an eye on. I came away from his year in Green Bay incredibly impressed with Graham and am for no reason aside from that invested in watching his career progression

Payton looking at that -$70M+ cap space and said "No Thanks, cya!"

Yeah. What a mess. (Even bigger than ours.) But really, this is a good time for him to leave, if that was on his near horizon anyhow. With Brees being gone now, they would naturally face a turnover. Just like we will whenever it's official that Rodgers is leaving. But with MLF, he's young and ambitious enough that he could weather the storm of a rebuilding period.

Jaguars finally making a smart move. I didn't think they would. Best thing for the franchise.

If Leftwich does go to the Jags, I hope the fans treat him well. Vic Ketchman said the fans treated Leftwich very poorly when he was the QB.
