Would be nice, but if there is any betting line I would take right now it is Hurts playing against us.

This has me selling Daniels. Running QBs either never stay healthy or are wildly inconsistent.

Running QBs often can't read a pro defense and that's why they run, its what they know.
So you need to get them a footwork whisperer, teach them how to run an offense from under center and learn to go through their progressions.
Starting them in Year 1 Game 1 is pretty dumb, but that's what dumb teams do. First you have to develop the good habits, then get reps.
These teams drafting a QB at 1.1 think they can skip the first step. They're wrong - and it shows with the running QBs.

Opinions on this?

I will be honest, I don't pay attn to the people behind the calls much anymore, just the calls themselves that annoy me.

I know I pay attn more in basketball as far as individual refs

As long as it isn't Blakeman, it's all good. That guy sucks.

I believe it was Brad Allen's crew who screwed the Lions in the "eligible reciever" game in 2023 with Detroit at Dallas

Ehh, he's young and athletic enough to get away with it for now, and he has the work habits you need for the game to hopefully slow down for him. And it's a mobile QB league now—a lack of mobility is almost as severe of a handicap as being unable to read a defense.

Lamar Jackson is still going strong, arguably best in the league.

That's exactly what I mean, he is young and athletic, so it works now. See that A LOT.

Absolutely have to have some mobility, but run first guys rarely have long success.

Jackson is one of few exceptions and he has been inconsistent year to year and injured. Jared Allen is another, but he has been able to transition. There are also guys that run early and transition, but that too is rare, like Wilson and Young to an extent.

Daniels reminds me a great deal of former Washington QB Robert Griffin III.

Don't remember a jets FO person calling Guty a dummy, but vaguely remember McAffey idiotic comments, had to go look it up, sure enough McAffey sticks his foot all the way down his throat with his remarks, no wonder he's losing viewers, lost me long ago, it's a nice read

That was always the risk with letting him spend intimate time inside the GB offensive planning. Not sure he wants a DC job, probably hoping for an HC gig. The SF DC spot is not quite as awesome as it used to be, they'll see an overall drop in talent going forward - but the same high expectations.

I think it's been made pretty clear the failure that was the 2024 Jets was not because of Robert Saleh. I would think he'd be in line for another shot as HC, even this cycle, before being forced to settle for another DC gig.

These guys are all friends and learned with and from each other. I don't think there are too many secrets between them. MLF probably brought him in to help with "offensive" side of the ball to give him more experience for his next HC job he'll probably be up for because he is his very good friend and wants to see him succeed.

The Raiders fulfill their forums’ dreams of Fire Everyone, and go for a clean sweep, and fire GM Tom Telesco after just one year. Previously got rid of HC Antonio Pierce.

The Raiders had to clean house. Their GM blew it. The fact that every single one of these QBs in this draft class look really good and they sat on their hands to get a TE and then field some garbage QBs throughout the year deserves a firing.

Sadly this next GM is setup for failure with a bad QB draft class.
