How’s that new job at Madden treating you, @TheSkeptic

What in the $%@# is this? I like Tonyan but come on. And the. The real travesty. Kittle at 10? Behind some of these absolute bums?
That's just his catch rating. Tonyan is an 80 overall.

Always find it hilarious when people freak about the ratings. As long as I've been playing Madden (practically from the beginning), they ratings have sucked. First thing I always did when I played was adjust the team to how I thought it should be.

I always it would be fun to have just all the individual ratings for each attribute, but not have an overall score.

I have a feeling you'll "like" our WR ratings better...

I actually think these are both fair ratings and very winnable. The low awareness of the rookies will gradually improve in franchise mode. The speed and agility and catch ratings look about in line with what I'd expect. I think Madden players are gonna be surprised at how effective they can be with this offense, haha

OL Lucas Patrick
WR Davante Adams
CB Chandon Sullivan
OL Billy Turner
WR MVS
WR ESB
LB Oren Burks
OLB Za'Darius Smith

Haven't been able to follow football as closely the past few seasons as I did in previous years but apparently these are the notable players that we've lost this offseason. I'm sure this isn't news to any of you but I'm thinking about how last season was supposed to be "our year" in terms of having a complete roster equipped for a Super Bowl run. The prevailing sentiment in the media seems to be that this team will be a shell of itself.

I just don't see it that way. Yes, we lost some great pieces but I think we will quietly contend for the top team in the NFC. Davante was obviously a loss but I am excited to see how Rodgers will adjust. Never thought much of MVS or ESB. I'm not able to provide the kind of insight that many on here can, but I am excited for this season and I don't think we'll be as bad off as many think.

Losing the top WR and maybe a top 30 WR in the league. Hopefully adding the best LT in the league and a top 10 guard/right tackle can keep our offense and upper level unit in the league.

Should at least greatly improve the run threat/gravity with the improved OL and stud backs.

Should make some schematic passing game easier to orchestrate as well.

It will definitely be a different offense, but should still be a better unit in the league.

Hopefully aided by a much improved defense, sure we lost Z, but we never had him, we lost Sullivan but add Jaire and Nixon. 2nd year with DC, nearly fully retained unit, and a couple of high picks as well.

Imo, should be the favorites in the NFC again, at least within shouting distance of top betting odds.

Not a popular opinion but Bahk is spent. He may play but no signs point to him being even a shell of himself. Defense will have to dominate to get us to another sb. Hopeful.

Except for the very literal signs of him playing in Detroit last year and dominating. You can argue the health if you want, but there is no issue of skill or declining skills here.

Davante is the only one that I'm crushed about, mainly because he's one of my favorite players in the league. Z Smith is the second but he was expendable because Gary is so good.

It will honestly be kind of an interesting experiment.

Replacing fair market value of WR’s (Adams and MVS) worth ~35-40 million and replacing them with a similar value of offensive line (Bak and Elgton). Most other things remain as are.

Man. Looking back, with Bak, Elgton, Z and Jaire, this team could have been really really $%@# good last year.

Didn’t matter how good the team would have been if they still put out the worst special teams unit in the history of professional football.

I was thinking the same about Smith. Replacing his production will be challenging but far from insurmountable with the personnel that we have, IMO. Davante's departure was disheartening, I won't deny it. But regarding our current WR corps, there's something about the unknown that excites me. I feel like ever since 2011, Rodgers has always had "that guy." It was Jordy for a long time, until Davante took the reigns.

People always laugh when I say this but 2010-2011 Rodgers was different. I swear I'm not imagining it. It's like he was more willing to utilize his full slate of weapons anywhere on the field at any given time, than at any point in his career.

Obviously I'd need to be cracked out to think right now that this receiving corps could hold a candle to them. But what if the guys we have turn out to be legit? All it takes is a few players to surprise. What if Watson and Doubs ball out? And nobody has NFL tape on them!

My point was his health but no matter. My biggest concern is Jenkins. He is my fave Gute pick and his injury happened right b4 he was going to get paid. I hope he comes back healthy and gets his money.

I guess I feel like anyone who confidently predicts what the soon to be 31 year old David Bakhtiari will or will not be after a 2 knee injury is just guessing.

2011 Rodgers was by far the best QB play I've ever seen in my life. Rodgers was completely dialed in. Also, the best WR core I've ever seen too. It's a shame what happened to Nick Collins. We wouldn't have been in top 5 defensive territory because there were several other issues, but I think we would have won the Super Bowl that year if he had stayed healthy.

the forum prognosticators, translation, the forum guessers :rotf:

I do admit to being a bit worried with D Bahk though, obviously holding him out of OTA's doesn't mean much, same with manditory's, half the healthy vets don't do those either, but this is a long time now, hope he can play.

It wasn't just Collins or the defenses, we couldn't over come cover two coverage, we didn't have a running attack,so pass rushers didn't have to worry about us running, no short up tempo schemes, Rodgers had to sit and wait for the deep routes to open, which they rarely did, and the Giants pass rush was to good, he had to scramble or take the sack, we had a one dimensional offense.

Right, but you could argue that 2 of the Giants' TD's may not have happened if we had one of the best safeties in Packers history back there. Could have completely changed the course of that game and not forced the Packers to be so one dimensional in the 2nd half.
