With the Vikings and Jaguars on the schedule in 2 of 3, would be so amazing to go out SF and hand them their 4th loss, maybe even 5th if they lose to Seattle in Seattle this Sunday.
If we can, we should head to 8-1.
With a fair possibility of setting up SF to not even make the playoffs.
7 days from now, I would rather have the Packers win their next two and SF beat Seattle. We have a 4 game lead over SF if we beat them Thursday. There is no real need to root against SF unless we lose to them.
But if we beat them Thursday, there is just no real path for the 9ers to be ahead of us in the standings. They would need to win out at 12-4 and we would need to lose 4 of our last 8. And our schedule doesn't really lead me to believe that is happening unless catastrophic events occur.
Also, the 9ers beating Seattle would be a conference and potential common opponent tie breaker for us. Go 9ers. At least, I hope they split.
Again, this is all contingent on us beating SF. I figured if we could go 2-1 vs the Conference road games who are serious threats, we would be sitting good. Right now we are 1-1.

Taking care of business where we should with the Vikes will be big, too, even though it's perfectly expected.
I'm personally rooting for a 49ers win this week, a Packers win this week, and then a Packers win Thursday, keeping us quite ahead of any NFC West winner in the seeding
Completely agree. We will find out in the next 10 days really if we have a sweet path to that #1 seed. The Saints and Bucs play next Sunday too. Two wins from GB, the 9ers beating the Hawks and the Saints beating the Bucs changes things for us in the conference fast.

I'd rather Seattle wins the home game and 49ers get their home game. Deal with Seattle later, but right now, I want the 49ers in a hole that they can't crawl out of.

It absolutely blows my mind DK Metcalf went at the end of the 2nd round. He was a clear 1st round talent. Would have looked pretty good here and actually given us a legitimate field stretcher. Smh.

Was a big DK fan ... Was disappointing we didn't get him, his tape in lead up to draft was so good.
I wanted Tee Higgins as well this year

"Production"-logic hurt him.

Didn't Metcalf have a horrible 3-cone time?

Just about everybody read too much into that. Including me. Wish we had drafted him at some point.

Sounds like Jimmy G is hurt. Maybe we'll get Nick Mullens Thursday.

They didn't need QB play to beat us last time, so...

Yeah people were tripping over that and his limited route tree which was absurd. Like people wanted him playing from the slot or something. You do exactly what the Seahawks do with Metcalf and send him deep. And when they play off you hit him short with screens and slants and let him use his size, strength, and speed and beat the crap out of smaller DBs in space.

We may play the 9ers without Jimmy and Kittle.

We got ourselves a division fight. We look at the bears and think they suck..and they can probably look at us and think the same.

Yeah watching the Bears today, they are better than the Packers the last 3 weeks.

There O is wildly inconsistent, but I will never want to count foles totally out..but beyond their basically crappy Offense...that defense is playing well again and will keep them in any game.

I don't see a whole lot of difference between their offense and ours the last three weeks.

Oh well for starters we have an advantage at QB. They have an advantage at WR maybe. Without Aaron Jones playing the backs may be a wash...but the biggest difference is we have a better play caller and their OL is awful. Like big time awful. Our O is much better.

Signed a 4 year 54 million dollar contract last offseason. Should cost the Saints about 3.5 million more this year, but should have about 13-14 million cap its next year and in 2022.
So Saints now moving to about 95 million over the cap next year, lol.

Looks like a 5th to SF for Kwon
This one for a 6th rounder.
I might have jumped in on that one for a 6th, King is good and a dynamic returner on a cheap rookie contract.
