All hail Harlan, finally a football guy running things versus a bunch of city higher ups arguing over who gets the last word, we needed a football frontal lobotomy, and Harlan gave us one, most members here don't remember the gory years of that near complete disfunctional era, and hopefully they never have to experience another, in the last 32 years we are the second most winningest team, hopefully, future success allows us to be the winningest in the near future :aok:

There’s gotta be something else going on behind the scenes. He’s been listed as a full participant in practice going on 3 weeks now.

Frustrating. Something else definitely up. LaFleur's answer over the last month reek of frustration.

On the offense side of the ball, though, things are looking positive.

I wanted to take a look at out three different mini-eras of success over the past 30+ years. I didn't throw the GM in there because this is busy enough, but here's a look at the timelines of the coach/QB Super Bowl eras:

The way I see this: MLF is a year behind on winning a Super Bowl, but also 2 years ahead if you consider the timing of the QB change.

Love is where he should be: looking very good but not winning MVPs yet.

And we basically have to win a Super Bowl this year or next year for this run to measure up with our past two. And if it happens this year, we will have won in even increments every 14 years, which is kind of fun.

Thx for laying that all out, greatly appreciated. Got me to thinking...

Holmgren had a young ascending Favre, and the MVP got him a Title
MM had a young ascending Rodgers, and the MVP got him a Title

MLF coached up an aging star into back-to back MVP seasons, but unfortunately his MVP...didn't get him a Title
IT. IS. TIME

Yeah.

ALSO, the Packers' QB has won MVP the year after winning the Super Bowl each time. So let's win the Super Bowl this year and then put all our money on Love for MVP in 2025.

The Athletic was bought by the NYT. Their links all say NYT now; but it's the same subscription as The Athletic has always been

FYI, I simply posted it for the stat of 30+ points in 5 straight games being the longest active streak in the NFL.

Lots of talent and lots of money still on the bench. Wish we had a definitive answer. It just doesn't sound or seem "right" to me, but when I know so little I don't want to speculate too much. that said, DB is high on my list of needs and wants for this team for next year, again.
