With Musgrave back I am thinking MLF will start drawing up some plays for him. Obviously Musgrave was drafted relatively high to produce in the pass game. The Pack can use all the weapons they can get against playoff competition.

I really wish we got more views to watch. The all 22 and the wide view behind the QB give so much more information. It doesn't even have to be the main feed, but an enthusiasts feed would be awesome.

Here is why I say this. You can see this throw and why it was placed where it was.

Yes, we can also see that the Kraft throw was the safer option.

According to wiki, Getsy was hired as a defensive consultant, not unlike how Saleh is an offensive consultant

Competent coaching staffs shouldn't require or need external consultants. Just my opinion.

I don’t mind if you have consultants. But they better damn add some value. Like say if your teams strength is running the football and you come out and throw three straight passes inside the 30 yard yard line for a three and out.

Well at that point are they consulting you to just do stupid &%$@. Idk that’s just me.

No way for any of us to know what the consultants are doing or what value they are providing.

Any talk beyond "oh that is interesting" regarding Saleh and Getsy is a waste of breath.

I wish they would hire a consultant that would advise our coaches when the depth of the break points of pass routes are right into coverage, versus a little more or less to avoid that, prior to the 4th quarter :idn:

You nailed it spot on. The coaches should already know this and know how to apply things like this during their game planning and overall stratagizing sessions.
There is a famous game planning event that Lombardi pulled off to fool a defense. First he eliminated the sweep play because he knew the defense would spend time preparing for it. Second he flipped the numbering system to mirror images of the original play call. It was discussed on one of those documentary segments about the genius of Lombardi.

actually Ringo that was off handed sarcasm, I never fully bought into the comments that we ran zone routes against man coverage, for one reason, those that said it don't know what the coaches were telling our receivers and zone and man pre snap changes so often from one play to the next, heck we do the same stuff as well.

my main concern though as you said was that it takes so long for our coaches to make adjustments, we see the run get stuffed, and our answer is a deep throw into double coverage, or a lack of Love simply throwing to a shorter guy who could just get a first down, other than Jacobs all other skill position players have been here at least 2 years, we should expect more progress from our passing offense than that

If you start with a conclusion in mind, can use anything as supporting evidence.

Those who said it? You mean Coach LaFleur? I am pretty sure he would know.

And he didn't say they were running zone routes against man coverage. He said they didn't expect as much man coverage and it took them too long to adjust.
