So what’s toures redeeming qualities? Looks like Malik Taylor in pads...that is to say...not an NFL player. But probably practice squad.

He’s not gonna take the league by storm out the gate as a rookie but a Malik Taylor comparison sells him short. I think he belongs in the league but is still very raw. Some nice tools that are gonna need some refining.

Some guys who needed it making the push tonight.
  • Heflin trying to get a spot ahead of Slayton and/or only keeping 5 DL
  • Goodson making the strong case for his spot, even though I'm pretty sure he was a good bet for RB3 all along and the 2RB theory is just weird
  • Toure showing up more on offense than he has since family night
Anyone else come to mind as a "he needs it but he's making his case?"

I think Abernathy has logged another strong game and has made his case to make the roster.

I almost listed him but I can't see the game so I wasn't super sure

That sucks. To end that final drive with an obvious PI that didn’t get called. I wanted to see Etling finish that drive.

Pathetic officiating on that play. Was clearly defensive pass interference.

Way to jump the gun. A 7th round WR in his rookie year preseason is not an NFL player. Jeez. Are those thoughts in your head audible before they come out your fingertips?

Should have had an amazing pick on the goaline on a wr screen. But got held horribly and no pi or holding call.

Good lord man, back off. I was referring to this season on this 53 man roster. I believe he is best fit for the practice squad. I asked what his redeeming qualities are because I was wondering his potential to develop.

Disagree on the RB’s. If anything, between ST reps and pass pro, I would say Taylor survived Goodson by default last night. In the end, I do think neither of them makes the 53 and they roll with 2 and a PS call up until Hill comes back Week 5.

If the NFL wants to squeeze more out of its preseason line up they should start by fixing the broadcasts. Whether I got the Away Team or the Packers Team all three broadcasts were absolutely dreadful.

the guys on the field with the least improvement over last year seems certain, we should cut the officials.

I’m just confused about who is so precious to save all these roster spots? Like why are you paying 2 RBs and cutting Watkins for the roster mechanics, cutting Goodson… like for Rico Gafford? For Chris Slayton?

I haven't even gone through the exercise, but will right now. 53 prediction upcoming. Just, while we are busy insulting professional football players, I will just point out that there is nothing precious about Goodson or Taylor, either.

With how weak safety is I don't know how you keep him off the 53

Nice ST's tackle, Carpenter!
Nice tackle on D, too. Pretty sure he blew the coverage on the TD, though.
On Pack-A-Day, Andy Herman said on re-watch it looked like Carpenter played it correctly and it was Gafford that blew the coverage based on how the rest of the secondary and LB's played the coverage.

Given Jones penchant for injuries, I don't see how they can go without 3 RBs.
