Fun read, click to see the entire string.
Palmy - "Very few have the ability to truly excel regardless of system. For many the system is the difference between being just a guy or an NFL starter. Fact is, everyone is talented at this level."
Huh.
Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers talk at least weekly.
I never dreamed that would happen 10 years ago.

Can you imagine being the fan of team whose personnel department publicly fights with star players over social media? Its no wonder the Jags perpetually suck.

Rumors of the Chiefs trading up for Ruggs.
First reaction, yikes.
After thinking about it, let them double down on the speed at one position and waste several valuable picks not restocking other areas of their team with currently no cap space and a QB on a rookie contract about to get 40 million per.
Just a matter of time where you will start losing talent on the OL and D due to lack of money and picks when the piper comes a piping.

Could potentially be a replacement for Hill, as well. Starting next year, dead money charge isn't that prohibitive and cap charges keep going up.BF004 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2020 13:56Rumors of the Chiefs trading up for Ruggs.

Not sure why you’d ditch Hill, he’s been great. You already made the commitment after that off the field issue happened.
If you just a 2nd on Hardman, then spend the next 1st, probably another 2020 pick and 2021 1st to get Ruggs basically to simulate a guy you already have so you can get rid of him.
Hard to argue with the champs, but I wouldn’t understand that.

Just in case, though, we should probably block them by beating them to the punch.BF004 wrote: ↑20 Apr 2020 13:56Rumors of the Chiefs trading up for Ruggs.

Good thing they didn't. They also do not have a 3rd or 4th rounder so rumors swirling that they would like to trade down with either/or of their 1st-round picks to stockpile more. Its one thing to trade DeForest Buckner to get a premier prospect, but its another thing to trade him for a bunch of lottery tickets to replace the ones you already scratched off and lost on.

Again, hard to argue with what they did reaching the super bowl.
But NE and SF gotta be kicking themselves giving up what they did for Sanders or Sanu.
Neither were gunna put us over the top for the Super Bowl.
But I thought trading Buckner for pick 13 and signing Armstead was brilliant compared to letting Amestead walk, keeping Buckner and maybe getting a comp pick in 2021, especially already being really short on picks.
Just in terms of sheer value, no brainer, imo.

Have we seen anything that indicates that Gronk is coming back? Or is Tampa just trading for the rights? I haven't seen anything, but I have to imagine Tampa wouldn't do this unless they knew for certain.
RIP JustJeff
PFT telling Gronk said he'd only return to play with the Bucs and Brady:TheGreenMan wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020 15:34Have we seen anything that indicates that Gronk is coming back? BTW, imagine being the Bucs and having the gall to demand a 7th rounder to go with Gronk... That's a GM who'll never say "keep the change" (or one fond of subtle middle fingers).
It would be a pretty stupid trade for Tampa if they didn't have some assurances.TheGreenMan wrote: ↑21 Apr 2020 15:34Have we seen anything that indicates that Gronk is coming back?
