The Jon Gruden resignation topic has been split from the Cheese Curds - General NFL News thread. The Gruden discussion will continue in the main forum for now but please continue to be consistent with relating your discussion points to football relatable points.
As always, feel free to continue any non-football/social commentary discussion in the Podium.

" Chargers RT Bryan Bulaga underwent core-muscle surgery and is out indefinitely..."
Chargers are likely to make the playoffs, so there is still hope - but he's been in and out of the lineup since he joined the team
Bummer news for Bryan and I suspect this will be the end of the line for him in the NFL after a decade of taking on DL beasts
$57M in career earnings and a Ring on his finger, best wishes to him and his family and thanks for everything. Packers HOF awaits

Home teams are 31-33 through the first 4 weeks. Small sample size, but crazy. Last year was the first time the home team had more losses than wins, but that was with empty stadiums.
39-41 after week 5. This includes both the Saints winning in Jacksonville and Falcons winning in the UK as home teams.

I suppose that's a good thing since half the teams have 9 home gams and half have 8

Yes, It is a bummer for him. But the Packers made the right decision. Hopefully he retires as a Packer and he does not resent that decision.

Interesting to see how they'll fit this under their cap. They need to make a move or three to fit Ertz.

18 last second wins through 6 weeks. The previous high was 13. CRAZY.

Texans are releasing Mercilus. Worth a look if Preston misses time. Maybe even if he doesn't.

This is why I wanted to keep the powder dry when Smith and Gilmore were available (not that Gilmore was really available); I would much rather have Mercilus than Smith (especially after yesterday, granted it's early yet).

I think it’s worth a look regardless. I like Garvin but but if you want to keep the pass rushers fresh make a move to get him.

I hope the super talented Brandon Aiyuk starts to act like a turd due to Shannahans persecution of him and this leads to him demanding a trade in the offseason. Would be a great guy to have on the roster in a post-adams world.

Watching the Bills MNF and the energy they fly around with is a noticeable difference then what our game started with

Texans releasing 31 year old Whitney Mercilus who doesn't fit Lovie Smith's 4-3, and journeyman return specialist Andre Roberts, 12th in the league this season in punt return average.

Noticeable difference in how the games ended, as well

Net he's actually costing us literally $0 because we would have to pay someone else in his place.
