Lafleur says he expects Meyers to miss “several weeks”

My goodness what a luxury it is to just be able to throw Jenkins at whatever spot we need him and to know that spot is in good shape.

When was the last time we had an ILB as good as Devondre Campbell?

I think the 2010 season is the season that we all tend to think was our brightest inside linebacker season of the Rodgers era, and Campbell is better than both of those guys. Nick Barnett is also frequently mentioned, but from what I remember of him, Campbell is better. I started watching the Packers during the 1996 season, and I was pretty young so I don't remember the linebackers for that team, but from what I can remember of all the Packers teams I have seen, it does seem like he might be the best inside linebacker we've had. What do yall older fans think?

2010 both Bishop and Hawk had career seasons, between them they had 200 plus tackles and over 20 PD's, over all though Barnett has been our best ILB the last couple decades imo, he might be the only one to go to the PB.

this shows how dedicated we've been towards getting a great ILB over the years :thwap:

Campbell is playing great, hope it continues.

I haven’t had a problem with his run blocking. If anything this goes to show just how bad he’s been as a pass blocker.

It is quite insane how Rodgers can be so unlikable at times, and then just like the coolest guy in the world in just the next moment. In season Rodgers has been a joy to watch and root for again this year.

He's like anyone else. Some people think I'm really nice, others think I'm a complete asshole (the latter are correct). Can't please everyone.

Tim Harris was one of my favorite players as a little kid. I once asked him how many touchdowns he had. I think I was 8. My football knowledge has increased a little. But I still expect linebackers to have TDs!

Guess they had to wait until Rodgers was no longer a Packer before letting in Jennings.

me too, who doesn't like to watch a big guy make a pick and rumble down for a score, one of my fav plays was Mathews causing a fumble, picking it up and scoring.

Harris didn't make this list, in fact no Packer did, but this group at the top where pick magnets, I remember wanting some of these guys really bad over the years.

That never happened. ;)

The only TD he ever got from a fumble he just ripped it out of Peterson's hands, never had to do the 'picking it up' part. :beer2:

aw well, hardly worth mentioning then :hide:

heres the particulars, with the trades it took to get him I consider Mathews Teds best draft pick.

He scored his first career touchdown during a Monday Night Football game on October 5, 2009 against the Minnesota Vikings; Matthews stripped the ball from running back Adrian Peterson and ran the ball back for a score.[

I'am spoiled, all Packer drafted edge rushers are measured compared to Clay Mathews, he played like a vet right outta the gate, 10 sacks, 45 pressures, 50 tackles :aok:

Yeah Clay as an edge rusher was amazing for 3 seasons. 2009, 2010 and 2012.

After that I think the league kinda figured out how to beat the "speed" rusher.

I’ve thought about that a lot in the last few years. Like remember Clays rip and dip move in 2010? He would get such a crazy angle to the ground and get to the QB. Jerry Hughes used to do it. Von Miller was a god at it. Really not to many edge guys doing that today though.
