The only real weakness I saw from Love in 2023 was his inability to make a play after it broke up. He had two of them in the redzone vs Philly and failed on both.
The first one at the 1:54 mark I'd score as a good decision. He put the ball low and away where only his guy had a chance. It was 1st and 10 in the RZ and he evaded the rush, got a throw off and lived to fight another day. Not a lot of separation to work with on that one.
On the 2nd one to Cobb, it was 3rd down in RZ and this time he took some more risk and drove that ball in there. It was on target, but Cobb didn't box out, let the defender cross his face and make the play. That &%$@ happens in tight quarters.

I am kind of glad someone called me a tough grader besides defending Rodgers comment.
But yeah I think his first one he should have recognized Lazard would be open down the sideline. He was already running that way. It's an easy TD if he targets Lazard. Not saying the Watson ball was bad...but he had a much better option available and didn't recognize it.
The 2nd one was actually a ridiculous throw. For him throwing across his body in tight coverage takes balls. And it was a damn good throw. But that also was his knock in college of being reckless. It very much looks like he could have run for a 1st down there. Love very much is a passer first and runner 2nd. He should have run that one and moved the chains.

I’ve been thinking more and more today that Guty and MLF simply must let Rodgers go and let Love start. They spent that draft pick on him. Then, he has done as much or more in developing these past three seasons as they could expect. When the system pours into a young talent like this and he exceeds expectations, they need to give him the green light and go with it.
It’d be different if they thought that Rodgers were going to play at least three more years. But he likely isn’t.
Also, isn’t the cap hit for Rodgers VERY much higher if we trade him before June 1?
