Jordan Davis moves well for 350. Is 10 yard split is better Jarvis Landry
Wyatt looked good but rumor is he didn't interview great.
Walker is a freak
Idk why they had Nik Bonitto in with the DL. He's an off ball backer in the NFL. Alot of Hassan Redick

I loved Jarvis Landry so much, I remember that 2014 combine. Palmy was still posting then and said like a week later his reported numbers were crap and he got hurt and still wanted to push through and all teams knew it. If you ever believed he was a 4.75 guy and not just a tough mf, all nfl teams will disagree

I would say more stupid then tough I totally forgot how bad his 40 was. They were just saying how quick Davis was and used Landry. Prob not a fair comparison. Davis also broke the broad jump record for guys over 300 lbs. Wirfs had it. Pretty amazing.
I will say Walker movement skills are unreal. That dude has the highest ceiling for anyone in the draft imo.

So, can this thread make it to 200+ pages too?
;-)
I’m gonna love this now, with Rodgers locked up and Adams likely staying.
Show me some WRs and a TE and some LB talent and I’m set.

I did a mock. Not sure the fit on some of the guys. Would have liked Edge earlier but didn't work out that way in this one.

So, the Adams trade really shakes up this planning!
I like two in rd 1 and two in rd 2. Can we get a starting caliber WR?
What’s the chatter on TEs?

I wouldn't expect great production year 1 from any TE.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑17 Mar 2022 23:07So, the Adams trade really shakes up this planning!

Staring wr, potentially.

Yeah. For sure. Even so, our offense needs that for versatility.paco wrote: ↑17 Mar 2022 23:09I wouldn't expect great production year 1 from any TE.Scott4Pack wrote: ↑17 Mar 2022 23:07So, the Adams trade really shakes up this planning!

But I'll revert to the idea that Guty has a plan!

I love Jahan Dotson out of Penn State.
But other than that, a lot of the guys who will be around in the 20's or lower are big, big guys like Drake London, that Arkansas kid, etc.
Is that the type of player we want? I feel like we have size already. Yet again, I said I didn't want size with Higgins but he looked pretty good last year.

So, we now have a lot of picks. If Gutey wants to trade up, he has plenty ammo to do it. Gutey has shown he's willing to make moves to get the players he has targeted. On other hand, I tend to be a fan of a lot of bites at the apple, especially with a top heavy roster that needs the depth to be cheap
Here's some reference of what some combos could get us:
22nd + 28th should get us into top 10, 8th per the old trade value chart (TVC), 6th per 2022 Rich Hill chart. But trades involving top 10 picks tend to be funky, since exciting high picks have an impact on ticket sales for sucky teams
22nd + 53rd -> 13th (TVC), 11th (Hill)
28th + 60th -> 17th (TVC), 17th (Hill)
22nd + 92nd -> 18th (TVC), 17th (Hill)
28nd + 92nd -> 23rd (TVC), 23rd (Hill)

I'd be okay with jumping in the low to mid teens with our 59th pick.
I'd also be okay with jumping up from 53 into the high 30's or low 40's with a 3rd or 4th round pick.
But I really am not in the mood of jumping into the top 10.
I too want more bites at the apple.

I wonder if the TVC is seasonally tweaked by GMs based on available talent? Take this year, for example. Without any real talent at QB coming out, are those top 10 picks viewed in the same light as when teams are vying to jump up and get a young QB prospect? I'd think not.salmar80 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 06:20So, we now have a lot of picks. If Gutey wants to trade up, he has plenty ammo to do it. Just a passing thought after reading your post.
What size do we have? At WR we essentially have nothing. The only WR on contract after 2022 is Amari Rodgers. I expect the Packers to draft any and all body types at WR. Maybe less so that Amari size.go pak go wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 06:19I love Jahan Dotson out of Penn State.

I'd love Gutey to pull off another Saints type trade with 1 of our picks. Trade down and get a 1st next year. Though that will probably be a bit tougher at 22, we had 14 last time. And it was very uncommon.
RIP JustJeff
We definitely could. I only just looked into Wyatt. But he seems a more likely target than Jordan Davis or Travis Jones that many are hoping for. Not that I'd have an issue with either of them.
I still don't know who my top WR is. Just haven't been able to watch enough to separate. Burks' testing has some concerned. Just seemed below expectations in all categories. But he's a beast on film, which matters more.
I still say, the combine should have guys testing in pads. Maybe not full pads, but something.
RIP JustJeff

So since I'm a little analytical, I must now ask, how would it look if Guty trades BACK with any of those? You know, to take even more bites of the apple? It'll surely happen someplace in those first five picks, maybe even twice.salmar80 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022 06:20So, we now have a lot of picks. If Gutey wants to trade up, he has plenty ammo to do it.
